If the Mode switch is in the far-left position (review pictures already taken), it stays on and I can see all the pics in the camera, but as soon as I switch to picture-taking mode the camera shuts down.

I have a Sanyo VPC C6EX 6megapixel camcorder which, when switched on, immediately takes a photo in 'camera' mode without any prompting. After that, it will not take a photograph in normal operation. I have moved the switch between REC and PLAY and tried both camera and video modes, but neither will respond when buttons pressed. Switch the camera off, and then back on again, and it still takes a picture automatically without warning....! Indeed, the camera seems to be 'confused'?...even in ME

If I turn on in a picture taking mode it starts to focus and then the message appears, when I turn it off the lens does not close. If I turn on in playback mode, it works fine, if I turn it off from playback mode, then the lens closes. Basically, any picture taking mode triggers the error message. Solution?

Why is my olympus e420 taking green tinted photos? I bought a new camera which I received yesterday, and it was until earlier, but has suddenly started taking yellowy/greeny tinted images. I've tried changing the settings, I've changed the camera modes, I reset the settings altogether and even changed lenses and yet the camera still takes tinted pictures, inside and outside. Also, when I switch the camera to live-view mode (shows exactly what the lens sees) it shows pretty much an entire green s

This camera was working fine, was turned off, and then a day later wouldn't work. The LCD screen on back works only if the Mode Switch is in the review mode (or DOWN), and does not light up under the picture taking mode (or UP) position. Also, while the switch is in the UP position, the ON/OFF power indicator button no longer stays lit. It does, however, stay lit in the Mode Switch in the DOWN position. First problem in three years. Nice little camera.

The display on my Ixus 500 has gone blank. It started to show weird colours when switched on but turning it off then on returned the display to normal. I knocked the camera the other day and the display is now blank both in camera mode and picture review mode. The F keeps on blinking in full auto mode and even if I switch to manual mode it does not allow me to change settings. It is very frustrating! what is wrong with this D90??

The blinking F-- means that the camera doesn't think a lens is attached. You can try removing the lens and re-attaching it. Or if you have another lens, try that. There are quite a few reports of this issue with the 18-135 kit lens. ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens

I could not turn off the camera. After a while, the batteries got very hot, so I removed them. I took out the CF card. Later, I replaced the batteries and the put the card back in. System Error I downloaded the pictures onto a CD from my Konica Minolta today like I always do. When I was finished I went onto the camera to delete the pictures and format the card - like I always do. (I have had this camera for right at 1 year) When I turn the switch to the "view" mode it comes up with "system error" within about 2 seconds and the whole camera turns off. If I go really fast I can delete one picture at a time. I can still take pictures and they still show up (for 2 seconds).

Power/lens Problems I'm having some power/lens problems with my camera. When I turn on the power in either the picture or video mode, the green light will turn on for a split second then turn off. The lens does not come out at all. However, when I try to turn it on with the picture viewer or in the menu it works just fine. When I start with the picture viewer and then switch to the camera it turns off. Thus it seems that whenever I want to take a picture or a movie the camera doesn't work.
