Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

Photos are out of sequence, summer mixed with winter, one event mixed in all other mixed events.

\015 My pictures do not stay in sequence, I have christmas photos in between summer beach photos. How can I keep them in line?\015

Answers :

The camera just assigns names in numerical order (IMG1234, DSC5678, etc.). If you delete pictures or transfer some to your computer and leave gaps in the sequence, the camera will reuse the names. So your photos are out of sequence based on the filenames.

The easiest solution is to not let pictures accumulate in the camera. It's not a safe thing to anyway, since if something happens to the camera or its memory card you will lose all your pictures. When you finish shooting a bunch, upload them to your computer so you can file them. Change the names to something more meaningful than the simple camera-assigned number. Put them into folders so you can find all your trip to the beach photos easily. THEN BACK THEM UP ONTO A CD!!

If you have a whole bunch of pictures in the camera already and they are mixed up, you can upload them to your computer and use the software that came with the camera to organize them by photo date. You can also download applications such as Picasa to do it.

I have a Bushnell trailscout 119900 and it wont accept any other SD card but the one that came with it. The one that came with it is only a 512 MB chip card The ones I have been trying to use are 2 GB SD card chip. Does the memory chip have anything to do with the problem. I can use the memory chips in my Kodak camera but they wont record the events in my Bushnell trailscout. What going on. the 512 MB works fine

Probably the first thing to try is formatting the card. There should be a function in the setup menus to do this. If it won't format or gives an error when you try the card may be incompatible. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras w ... Bushnell Trail Scout 11-9500c Digital Camera

Problematic Camera I have a EasyShare DX4530 which has suddenly started acting funny. Here's the sequence of events: - power up works fine - lens comes out ok - green light glows steady, ready for a picture - picture takes fine - green light doesn't turn on again - no amount of pressing the shutter button will bring the green ready light back - pressing the SHARE button a couple times (sometimes 2, 3, even 4 times) will move thru the share sequence and then finally exit that function, turning

I just discovered that the real problem is a STICKY SHUTTER BUTTON, staying down after taking a picture. This prevents the green ready light from coming on until I jiggle the shutter button. It has actually started to be hard to press, making a defin ... Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera

T7 video A colleague of mine is interested in a new digicam. He likes to take short video sequences and was wondering if the T7 features proper optical zoom with continuous auto-focus, auto-exposure while videoing? I know the first generations of digicams only allowed digital zoom and wouldn't change focus from the point at which one started filming. Also, any general experiences of video on the T7 - how long can one film etc?

Hello\015\012\015\012The zoom does not work on the T7 while you video, you have to zoom first and then start to video, then it is fixed at that zoom setting.\015\012\015\012Other than that, the video is pretty good, I have taken video clips up to abo ... Sony DSC-T7 Digital Camera

I have a A640 powershot approx two years and has had little use over this period. I took it to a family event recently and took approx 100 photograghs before my lense became stuck. This happened as I was zooming in on one last family shot. I took a closer look at the lense it appears that the first one is sitting at an angle which suggests to me that someing has broken or has slipped out of line to cause it to jam. The camera turns itsel*** after sensing this fault.

I'm having a couple problems with my Nikon D90 and for the life of me that manual is too confusing, The first problem I'm having is.... I'm taking pictures at my sons wrestling events and I can't get it to take clear pictures. If i put it on sports it's one of the worst with blurriness. I don't know a good setting for this? The next problem I'm having at the same events is red eye and or white eye. I know how to change the red eye option however it doesn't stop it from happening and even if I

I imagine your son's wrestling events are held in school gyms with lighting that is less than ideal. If you are taking pictures without a flash then the blurriness you describe could well be due to a slow shutter speed. Your camera is using a slowe ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

We are now on our 3rd 5.0 bushnell night sentry camera and the night pictures are black. With the second camera, we might get the first picture where the flash goes off, but the subsequent ones are black. We have replaced batteries and also have a solar panel. We did use this same model of camera last winter and were getting beautiful night pictures so we decided to get a second one. Day photos are beautiful. Help!

OK, I think that this is a problem with the flash not working correctly, and you are within the warranty period, I'm hoping, so that you can get it replaced.\015\012\015\012Power shouldn't be an issue since you have a solar panel.\ ... Bushnell Trail Sentry 11-9200 Digital Camera

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX5. Camera switches itself on even though it is switched off. Many occurrences of this. It has been examined and tested but nothing found wrong. Re-charged batteries run down quickly, even new ones. Comprehensive notes have been taken of the many events. In previous events, it switched itself on, then off again within seconds. This time it needed to be switched off by switching on then off switch.

Shutter appears to be stationary in closed position. Bulb works, no light through the lens. Hasn't been used for at least 10 years. Was in working order when stored. Storage not climate controlled - got up to 95-100 in summer, 25-30 winters in MD and a bit hotter in AZ for last three summers. Everything else works so far as I can tell. My Nikon S210 is not focusing correctly. It's just recently started to act in this manner. I had a 'lens error' screen this summer after getting some sand in the lens from my pocket and I beat that one by 100's of 'on' then 'off' attempts and removing the battery when it wouldn't turn off. Literally a couple hundred times over the course of a week and it finally came around and started operating correctly. I've taken maybe 50 pictures since then and kept the camera in it's case when in my pock

Olympus 1030 SW Camera leaked through both the battery door seal and the usb door seal. Did my best to clean it up and dry it out. Camera was finicky in at first. Camera's about 2 years old. With a fully charged battery it will take about 8 to 10 photos and then the battery indicates total discharge. Nikkon DS1 I have to go to an event this evening, New Year's Eve, at the Rio. I haven't had my Nikkon very long and I have had nothing but trouble with it.
