Fujifilm E550 problem. Camera will show contents of card but will not take a new picture. Lens will not extend on power up or when changing over from review mode

Answers :

A focus motor drive circuit responsive to the focus signal supplies a controlled \015\012amount of power from the power supply to the piezoelectric focus motor to drive \015\012a movable lens element to effect the required focus adjustment. If the new battery doesn't do any good there is issue with the motor.
If you are not good with opening the camera, take it to a service center.

My Canon S2IS has served me perfectly for over five years. All of a sudden it is going through a set of new batteries in half an hour. A few pictures and short video clips after installing brand new Duracells I was getting the low battery warning and then a few more minutes of same it was dead, showing the change batteries message. Any ideas or is it time to retire this baby? Also, when I power up the camera, the lens makes a grinding noise while it is extending. What's up with that? Could it

Canon A510 Powershot camera will not stay powered on when I turn it on in picture-review mode. It comes on for a second --> Canon screen flashes on -- and then shuts off. In picture-taking mode, it seems to be fine. It stays on. But if I switch to review mode, it turns off. I've changed the batteries. It was fine last time I used it, last week. I left it plugged into the PC for a few days, if that makes any difference.

I can only turn on my Cybershot DSC-N2 while the camera is in playback mode. I can look at the pictures and videos and change settings with no problem.. but when I try to switch to camera or video record mode the camera turns off by itself. Sometimes the lens will come out and then the camera powers down with the lens stuck out. Other times it just shuts off before the lens even has a chance to come out. The camera has never been dropped or damaged.

Why is my olympus e420 taking green tinted photos? I bought a new camera which I received yesterday, and it was until earlier, but has suddenly started taking yellowy/greeny tinted images. Also, when I switch the camera to live-view mode (shows exactly what the lens sees) it shows pretty much an entire green s

Hello, I have a Kodak easy share z1275 and has worked well for me for almost 3 years. Used it last week with no problems, has never given me any problems. Suddenly on Saturday, I turn it on to take a picture, lens begins to retract and the camera shuts off, it appears that there is a power supply probelm. I changed batteries, even though the ones I had in it were recently installed, but went ahead and put in new ones, and it will not power on. The blue power indicator light begins to come on

My camera fell on my floor when I was trying to film a video. Now it is stuck with the lens out, and when I try to turn it on it makes a weird noise, stops, makes it again, makes a new 'bloop' powering off noise, and that's it. I can click the little play button in the square to view my pictures and it will make noise and turn on and I can go through my settings but it will not let me switch to actual camera/video mode!
