The built-in flash on my nikon d70s does not always fire. sometimes this goes on for quite a few frames before it functions again. and often when it does decide to "wake up" it fires way too hot -- even in TTL. Used Vivitar 70-200 zoom on my K200 Pentax. Nothing but aggravation since. Right now the 18-55 lens it came with is on but shutter button is stuck in down position and my flash wont pop up using the manual "up" button. When I look thru lens and push button, flashing "F" is the only thing there. Removed lens and button would move enough to "click" but would not come up. Put lens back on and nothing! Newbie in the extreme and ready to go back to my MX !!

In other words I cannot be shooting in the Auto mode and then switch to "flash off auto"....all that happens is that the auto focus works but the shutter will not operate. If I switch the camera off and on however, I can t

I have a Nikon D90 with 18-105 mm lens. Lately, the onboard flash has not been firing even when I try to enforce it by having the flash popped up. It will only fire if I do one of the following: 1) unmount the lens from the camera body and then re-mount it back on, which the flash will fire maybe once or twice and that's it!, or 2) switch on a different lens which definitely works with the flash firing every single time. What needs to be done? I purchased this lens last December (2009). Is

Sounds like a dodgy electrical contact, possibly between the lens mount and the camera body. The lens ought to still be in warranty, but that would depend on what warranty the manufacturer or seller offer in your part of the world (in the UK, the sel ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

My Flash stop working, do i need to replace it? The built-in flash does not stay up. I can hear the clicking sound when it wants to pop up, but it stays in place. At this point it's pretty easy to open it manually, so I noticed what it seems to be a small spring on the right hand side. I guess it is there to hold the flash and it looks like it is off it's place. Is there a picture somewhere of how it is supposed to assembled? Thanks in advance, Gene
