Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

My Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 Camera refuses to accept/recognize it's own batteries. Tried new ones and battery from identical working camera, no luck. Cleaned all contacts, nothing, all I get is "For InfoLithium battery only" and the camera shuts itself off, even though that is exactly the type of battery I'm using and specified.

I had a similar issue and knew it was a yellow board which identifies genuine batteries has gone faulty. Tried to mess around and found the yellow board but only after messing around with a few other circuits.

\015\012You will need to replace the flex from the battery case to main board
\015\012It is a yellow flexible cuircit board inside the camera, quite a job to change. The 3rd wire is very thin and used to signal that you have a genuine battery and that one has likely failed. Not reccomended to do without manual.
\015\012
\015\012I would recommend a technician because the circuit is complex and there are many chances of going wrong.

Pentax Optio 555 Digital Camera. Once I have taken a couple of photos in a row, the camera continually flashes red & green. Like it is continually thinking. I cannot then even get the camera to shut down eithout removing the battery or just leaving it until it times itself out. If i remove the battery, I still have to turn it on & then off again to get the lense to retract. Can you help to solve this problem. It does it no matter what the charge in the battery is like. Full or half used.

Hello ... Digital Cameras

My D40 does not shut off properly, and sometimes turns on by itself. It seems to be getting worse, and sometimes I can only get it to turn off by putting the on/off switch in between the two settings. Also, sometimes if the camera gets left on I have trouble taking pictures the next time I go to use it (even if the battery is still charged).

Obviously something is wrong with the on-off switch. I would have it serviced. ... Nikon D40 Digital Camera with G-II 18-55mm Lens

BATTERY I have an older DSC-50 which works great...I bought the new W-170 and they both use the NP-BG1 batteries. I have used the newer battery in the DSC-50 camera and now when I try to use the orignal older battery my camera tells me (For use with compatible battery only) and then shuts down. I can still use the new battery in both cameras. I get the same response from the W-170 with the older battery. Battery has been great and has been holding a good charge... Any ideas? Battery drainage I have had my olympus sp-550 uz for approx 18 months, and was getting around 175 shots even when using zoom a lot. I am now getting only 20 - 30 shots using new batteries and also getting total drainage over night at times when my camera is turned off. I have been using the same make and type of batteries since I bought the camera.

20 to 30 shots on "fresh" batteries! Do you use the flash on all shots. That really drains them. I would try to set the camera to "factory default settings" in case you changed something that is causing a drain. I hope you just bought some bad batter ... Olympus SP-550 UZ Digital Camera

Battery life My AA 3000mah batteries don't last 30 mins before the camera switches itself off, indicating that the batteries are flat. When tested on a multimeter they read 1.24volts. The manual say I should get 300 shots using 2500mah batteries. The batteries have been discharged and charged up many times but still the same problem. I'm using Nimh type batteries that read 1.35v full charge and 1.24v when the camera shuts off. Is this a common fault with this camera ?

Olympus e10 problem. Even with new batteries, could only take a couple of shots before the low battery icon came up & camera shut down. Would work fine using mains supply. Fixed by buying new battery holder. Now 3 weeks later doesn't work again - low battery then switch off both using batteries or mains power supply. Any ideas appreciated as it's a great camera when working. Thanks

I have a Fuji FinePix A345. It is out of warranty. I put freshly-charged batteries in, take one or two pics, then get a low batter-reading, followed by the camera shutting off power. I took batteries out, checked them on a battery tester, and they both still had a full charge (2500 mAh), but camera won't even turn on. I was just reading consumer reviews on the A345 advertising page. Apparently this model can be a real lemon. Anything I can do to fix the camera? Or do I just toss it and bu

Fresh, fully charged batteries last about 15 seconds in the camera, with the orange "low battery warning" flashing, then it shuts down and dies! The batteries still read 1.343 Volts. Low battery I have a FinePix S9500 digital camera which is in great condition (virtually brand new) but is basically useless. Despite using the appropriate fully charged batteries, the display constantly indicates low battery. I manage to get out one or two shots and then it shuts down altogether. This is very frustrating as you cannot count on the camera working at all. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Or is there a particular brand of battery that works for this model. Batteries need replaced constantly. I am using 2 AA alkaline as instructed. As soon as I put them in it says batteries are low and shuts off. This is happening with all brands of new batteries.
