I've recently wet-cleaned my Sony A100 sensor and in the process, I attempted to clean the viewfinder pieces. The reason being that the image in the viewfinder was littered with spots, but the image was turning out perfect, so I assumed the viewfinder was dusty. I unlatched the individual pieces and cleaned them. After cleaning them, I put them back in and when I took the picture, the viewfinder was blurred, but the image taken was sharp. Viewfinders are very sensitive and delicate. The best and safest way to clean the viewfinder screen is not to touch\015\012it and not to use solvents on it. No matter how dirty it is it won't\015\012affect the image. If it gets dusty, use a blower to remove the dust and NEVER touch its surface.

I suspect you have mechanically\015\012damaged it. The eclipse fluid (methanol)\015\012chemically attacked the screen.

It is user replacable, instructions and tools come with the replacement screen.

Just let me know of any other questions.
You may have to replace the viewfinder, next time just use canned air to clean them.

Cleaning it with a qip and alcohol may help. (higher than 70%)

Hi there. I suddenly have a problem focusing my canon digital rebel xt. I have done nothing different to it, but cannot get it to focus AT ALL now. I am a professional photographer so tried other troubleshooting routes that I thought might cause focus problems (i.e. not enough light; played around with the shutter speed, f stops. etc.). I also took battery out, and put back. I took lens off and put back on. Any other ideas that you can suggest that would be causing this problem? Thank you for yo

I Have an Olympus FE-340 and twice now I have lost all my pictures off of the memory card. I know the memory card works, because I took a picture and it showed up on the television.
