I have verified my Canon A95 drains batteries by doing an amperage test. Starting with new batteries I install them in the camera and then layer a thin copper wire then piece of paper then copper wire and close the battery door. Touching the wires together closes the circuit and the camera functions. With the wires appart I measure the camera amps. The camera measures 0.6 amps when on and 0.14 amps when off. Doing the same test with my A80 Canon yeilds 0.45 amos when on and zero amps when off. T

Nikkon DS1 I have to go to an event this evening, New Year's Eve, at the Rio. I haven't had my Nikkon very long and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I'm sure its not the camera, I'm sure its me not knowing how to use it properly. I did not receive a user's manual when I purchased this camera and I can't seem to get one. I have the camera set on automatic and most of the time, it does okay. However, my shutter when I hold it down seems to take a long time and then I'm getting a blurry pict

My Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W150 no longer displays older photos on my camera. It now only displays ones taken since 1/1/2011. When I check on the computer they are all there. My camera has been on a easyshare dock a very long time. One time when the dock was unplugged, I plugged it back in, and put the camera on it. It had a blinking red light, which is had never shown before. I upplugged the dock and replugged and put the camera back on. My husband went and bought a new battery, we put it in, and put it on t

Hi. I have some pictures on my camera memory card which I want to download, but when I connect the camera to my computer, it only displays one picture old picture which should have been deleted long ago and none of the pictures currently on the memory card. I have just run the anti-virus program when I connected the camera, but no threats were detected, although I previously downloaded pictures on the same computers which did indicate a threat or virus at the time.

Instead of connecting the camera to the computer, use a card reader to directly transfer the pictures from your camera's memory card. It is easier and the card reader is a cheap device. It will work just like a USB flash device. ... Samsung Digimax S500 Digital Camera

We have a Fuji S5000 digital camera we really like. However, lately it takes shots that are more like artwork with colors running down the page. I looked it up and it appears to be the image sensor. Where can I get a replacement sensor or the camera fixed What should I expect it to cost as we are debating whether to find a used one or just buy a new camera.

Hi!Yes, it's the image sensor (CCD). For Fujifilm it usually comes together with lens and that makes it quite expensive - about 200$ here. I whink you should get a new one.Tom ... Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera

Design defect I have been a long time user of Canon Digital Cameras. I began with the Canon Powershot S200, Powershot S330 and graduated to an EOS Rebel XT. Beginning when I first uploaded pictures to my Macintosh Powerbook from my trusty S200, I was literally blown away with the quality of the photos. One most sentimental experience I had with your camers was after I bought a new home outside Buffalo, NY. My mother was 90 and living in a nursing home in Central New York. She was very intere

I think I'm going to explode if I hear one more "worn out battery" explanation for what seems to be a pretty common complaint. This is my 3rd camera...all ending up with the same problem. I've had the Canon Power Shot A570 for less than a year. Someone suggested changing the settings...but even with brand spanking new batteries, I can't even get it to last long enough to get into the settings. There is clearly a problem here that has NOTHING to do with the blasted batteries.

Sounds like you have a faulty board in the camera or it could be something as simple as a software upgrade, I know some of the Fuji Hine Pix had the same problem and it was the software. Take it back to the Canon. ... Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera

Battery Problem My 18-month-old Canon A70 is giving "change the battery pack" message and turning off constantly, even though I have fully charged three different sets of new rechargeable batteries and rotate them as soon as the message comes on. Sometimes with this message I pull out one charged set and put the same back in, and it works fine for quite awhile, then repeats later. I imagine this is a problem in the camera battery power circuit or something. Never happens when plugged into the co

This time it needed to be switched off by switching on then off switch.
