Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

When I switch to auto or manual when I want to record/ take pictures the power doesn't work. But, if I switch to play, I can reveiw videos or pictures.

Hello. I can assist you. You have a power shortfall in your camera. The power necessary to play videos and pictures is much less than the power requirement to record. There are several possible reasons for your problem. It could be as simple as needing to clean the battery contacts in the camera and the contacts on the battery with the eraser on the end of a pencil; or it could be a more serious problem such as a battery that is almost shot or a battery charger that is not charging properly and needs to be replaced. If you have the necessary diagnostic meters to check these things out you can do it yourself; if not any camera shop will be able to check it out for you and recommend what exactly is needed. Either way Sally, good luck with it.

Power/lens Problems I'm having some power/lens problems with my camera. When I turn on the power in either the picture or video mode, the green light will turn on for a split second then turn off. The lens does not come out at all. However, when I try to turn it on with the picture viewer or in the menu it works just fine. When I start with the picture viewer and then switch to the camera it turns off. Thus it seems that whenever I want to take a picture or a movie the camera doesn't work.

My camera fell on my floor when I was trying to film a video. Now it is stuck with the lens out, and when I try to turn it on it makes a weird noise, stops, makes it again, makes a new 'bloop' powering off noise, and that's it. I can click the little play button in the square to view my pictures and it will make noise and turn on and I can go through my settings but it will not let me switch to actual camera/video mode! This camera was working fine, was turned off, and then a day later wouldn't work. The LCD screen on back works only if the Mode Switch is in the review mode (or DOWN), and does not light up under the picture taking mode (or UP) position. Also, while the switch is in the UP position, the ON/OFF power indicator button no longer stays lit. It does, however, stay lit in the Mode Switch in the DOWN position. First problem in three years. Nice little camera.
