Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

I have an old 35 mm Canon A1. I can't get it to click a photo or advance. It has a new battery. This happened to it once before and it turned out something had accidentally been switched on that froze it. Help!

Answers :

The shutter on the A series Canons is controlled by magnets. These are under the bottom cover. Due to their age, contaminants can cause them to stick. If you have the proper cross point screw driver, you can remove the bottom cover, (3 screws) and have a look. The release magnet is covered with a small clear plastic cover. To fire the shutter mechanically, push to exposed arm of the magnet toward the front of the camera. It should fire the shutter. If you feel comfortable removing the plastic cover, you can clean the magnet and armature faces with lighter fluid on heavy stock paper, sliding it between the surfaces.
Once the film has been advanced, it can't be advanced again until you take a picture. There's a dial ring under the shutter release that locks out shutter release. Turn the dial to unlock the shutter.

Fujifilm A330 My camera is doing something rather strange; it's always switched on by sliding the front shutter open all the way, and it's ceased turning on when I do that. My dad and I figured out that we can get it to turn on by holding the 'on' button in the back, but it won't get out of the menu/blue 'no image' LCD display for reviewing pictures. In the past, holding the 'on' button was what changed it from picture review mode to picture taking mode, and since everything has swapped around t

All of my pictures are coming out blurry - this has happened with two different Casio Exilim EXZ75 cameras that I've owned... is this a setting that was accidentally turned on or something? HELP!

Switch glitch When i turn on my camera it goes off again within a few seconds (or maybe less). I have to turn it all the way off (slowly) and on again. Sometimes it stays on (at least long enough for a photo) and other times not. Has been getting worse so now the camera is pretty useless. The power switch won't turn to Off from the Player position. There is a tiny green button that usually releases the switch so it will turn. This tiny green button seems to move in but I'm not sure if it's going in far enough. I suspect it is broken on the inside where it releases. Frozen Camera I have a Panasonic Lumix TZ3 digital camera. The last time it worked, the screen went checkered, so i turned it off. But upon turning it off, the lens of the camera stayed out like it was taking a picture. Now it won't turn on. On/Off Switch Hi My problem with the 5050Z is as follows; When I switch the camera on the lens extends and then retracts but not always. This can carry on until I turn it off. On the odd occasion that this does not happen, should I lightly touch the on/off switch (but not move it) the lens begins to retract and extend again until I turn it off.
