\015\012First try turning the flash off if that speeds its up then what you got here is a flash issue, see it takes a couple of seconds for charge to hit the flash. Now most of the time its a battery issue even tho its rechargeable.

Flash when taking a picture using the flash, the camera takes too long between taking pictures. an orange led flashes for several seconds then it is ready to take another picture. I guess th flash charge time is taking to long even with new batteries.

I recently tried to take some pictures with my powershot a300 and was only getting black pictures. I have a Moultrie D-IR55 camera. Sometimes it takes good pictures, but on other times it takes a picture and then makes it look like a jigsaw puzzle with the pieces shuffled around. Camera's about 2 years old. With a fully charged battery it will take about 8 to 10 photos and then the battery indicates total discharge. How ever, if the camera is turned off for several minutes and then back on it will again take several pictures and but then again shows that the battery is totally discharged.
