Nikon transfer download problem

\015 When trying to download nikon transfer, I get an error 1904 message, saying mvwriternk.dllfailedtoregister. I talked to nikon they told me it was a windows problem\015

Answers :

That did not help for me. Here was my solution.
\015\012The problem was I had installed Windows 7 Pro N version. That version does not include Windows Media Player, along with many important DLL's. Essentially was missing these additiional dependent DLL's: WMVcore.dll, GPSVC.dll, IESHIMS.dll.
\015\012After installing the 'Media Feature Pack', all is working!
\015\012See this knowledgebase article for more info.
\015\012Hope that helps someone else.
You need to manually register the DLL, by following the instructions at this URL:
\015\012You will be using REGSVR32. You may need to unregister the DLL first, then Register it from scratch.

I have recently purchased the NX2 software, and as recommended changed the setting on my D70s from JPEG fine to NEF (or Raw). In the past I have downloaded files using either Nikon View software or the Microsoft download wizard. But the Microsoft wizard tells me their are no pictures on the camara, and Nikon View software transfers the first two images then encounters an "unexpected problem", and when I try again it says "an unexpected error occured. Try again. This just repeats. Can you help?

I have a Nikon D70 camera. I'm using a Lexar 2GB card inside. Problem focuses on the card. Previous to this moment, card has worked fine. Today, shot photos and when I hooked up the camera to download the pics, got an error in the viewfinder (CHR). Looked at the manual, and it said problem was with the card. I removed the card, and placed it in a card reader. It worked fine and I was able to transfer the photos. Replaced the card, and still get the same error. I've already re-formatted the card,

First, memory cards don't last forever, so it may be time for a new card. Make sure you check the pins in your camera and the contacts in your card for dust/dirt. I'd guess you already looked at this, though. \015\012\015\012I've had s ... Nikon D70 Body Only Digital Camera

Camera: Nikon Coolpix E4600 Have tried to transfer images from my Coolpix camera to my computer. Once connected to USB cord, the camera is recognized by the computer except the file transfering programs (Nikon Transfer and PictureProject) don't recognize any files to transfer. Is it a problem with the cord itself? I've put the memory card which has the pictures into my laptop and transfered them successfully that way, which is why it leads me to believe the cord is the issue.

I have just bought a Panasonic SD700 camcorder. It is fantastic. But I am a novice and all I want to do is to transfer the files to my laptop and watch them. Media Player wouldn't play them so I downloaded Codecs which has partially solved the problem. Downloaded VLC Media Player which again has partially solved the problem. I can now see the home video clips but there is a significant amount of horizontal line distortion (best way I can describe it) when the camera or the subject moves.
