The issue to resolve is transferring movies from my Panasonic Palmcorder SDR-H60 to my MacBook Pro (purchased new Oct '09). It is easy. However you are probably gonna need a firewire card. First try it with the USB. COnnect the camcorder to your mac. As you have already seen movies cannot be transferred directly. You have to capture the movies on the your computer using imovie.Below is a PDF that has a detailed tutorial with pictures.

If it still does not work then you may need to get a firewire card that suits your camcorder. let me know if that is the case so that I can help you find one that suits your camcorder.

I had no problem doing this with with my first camera.   Now I can't transfer regular still photos from the camera to my mac.  I don't think I have changed any settings, either on the camera or the mac and am quite frustrated. The operating manual has been no help.   Appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.

I have a Polaroid digital camera I got in May that came with a PoGo printer. It all works fine, but I've misplaced the manuals, and when I go to import photos to my Mac, I get nothing. I don't know what the correct "mode" is to import, I've never had this problem before with any camera and my Mac, usually it instantly shows as a source. Do the settings for the PoGo printer disable the Mac to connect as a source? If so, what "button" do I push to allow it to be recognized. It's a pink Polaroid, 1
