Good camcorder gone bad
\015 I have a 1993 Memorex 158 moviecorder after leaving it plugged in a few months to its adapter I could not get it to function. It may have been a power surge that did it BUT there IS still power from the adapter and the battery. Contacts seem okay. I used an old multimeter to check voltages but am unsure of its accuracy it just shows that there is power. The camera will not function in any way. I have an 8mm tape in it but cannot eject it.Should I try to have it fixed or just junk it and break into it to get my tape. I figure the camera might be worth $30 but it worked perfectly before this happened, I hate to throw it away. Hope you have some good advice for me.thanks, Frank G.\015
I've usually had to disassemble the cassette housing to extract the tape.
I have need of a remote for the model 158. Is yours available?

I receive the same "errr" message. The photo shop said it was a bad contact, they cleaned them with an eraser and made sure there was good contact. Problem was slightly better, but still exists. I have to remove the battery to clear the problem, turning it off and back on does no good. You can actually feel the lense move ever so slightly. Camera has gone back to Nikon for a repair. Very disappointed at this point with this. Camera store acknowledged that they have seen many of these.
My theory is the plastic lens mount is not strong enough to support the lens and maintain a proper connection between the camera body contacts and the lens contacts.\015\012\015\012This problem is widespread and Nikon needs to own up to t ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

Lost pictures I have a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 that I received for Christmas this year. I just bought a new Gateway Laptop to take on a trip. Up till now, the two have functioned just fine together. As a precaution, I also back up my photos to a flash. Here's the issue: we took a three day trip out to Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba. While gone, I did

Hi. Very unhappy with quality of Ixus 80is photos. They are not at all sharp, milky, with no depth, in various light conditions. I did comparison identical rural scenic photos with the canon and 2 different 5 megapixel phone cameras. In most cases, the Nokia N95 camera results are far superior to the canon. I have read nothing but good reviews about the quality of pics from this camera so I'm wondering why mine are so bad. Any ideas?

No picture I have a FinePix S2 Pro that I have had a couple years. Yesterday when I took pictures with it every picture is black when viewed on the LCD screen. The lens cap is off and I have tried several different lenses and memory cards, adjusted the ISO, tried it with and without a flash, but still the same result. I can view previously recorded pictures, so I know its not the LCD screen. Could the CCD have gone bad? Any thoughts by anyone?
