Digital camera I have a digital camera (Pentax Optio A10) and just recently the camera stop working. Every time I turn on the power button, the lens zoom out and a few seconds later the camera will turn off, and the lens will come back in. I bought a new battery thinking it help, but it still does the same thing. The camera is not even 2 years old yet and I paid over $300 for it. HELP?!?!
I had almost similar problems with my A10 from day one. The camera shuts down before the battery is depleted, most of the time while I was operating the zoomlens. I bought a new battery, but that didn't solve it. Later I decided to take it apart as a ... Pentax Optio A10 Digital Camera
A week ago I purchased a Canon Ixus 970 digital camera. When using in dark conditions yesterday, I noticed two bright blue dots on the LCD screen. I've switched the camara off and on again and have taken the battery out and replaced it again, but they are still there in exactly the same place. Is this normal for a digital camera? I've had a couple of cheapo's before but have never had this problem. So it seems a bit strange that I have these irritiating dots on a £200 camera. Shoul

Battery Problem I bought a Nikon Coolpix L12 Digital Camera this past summer and have had no problem until last night. My camera turned off and said "battery exhausted." Canon Powershot A610 digital camera--LCD screen shows icons, but otherwise is blank--there is no visible movement in the lens when I take a picture without flash--have tried setting it on TV setting and taking a picture, then opening the battery cover for a few seconds after waiting 7 seconds or so, but no images on the LCD except the camera's icons--ideas? probably a stuck shutter, or is it still possibly the CCD sensor even though there's no visible movement in the lens? Ideas? Thanks!
Much more likely that it's a stuck shutter, especially for your model camera. How many tries did you give the fix? Some people stated that it took at least 15 repeated tries before the shutter opened:\015\012\015\012\015\012 ... Canon PowerShot A610 Digital Camera
I have an Akai digital camera model DC6371. On start up the lens pops out and screen lights up, but then the screen closes down and (often) the lens remains out even when the camera has been turned off. On trying to operate it again today, the green light indicates the camera is on for a few seconds and the screen lights up momentarily, but the lens doesn't pop out and the camera closes down again.
Looks like you have the notorious lens stuck problem. Since you said it pops out occasionally but does not go in, it is probably a faulty motor or some kind of mechanical obstruction. A qualified camera should be able to fix this for you but I recomm ... Akai DC6371 Digital Camera
Camera problem Hi. I have a Pentax Optio M20 Digital Camera. When I hit the on/off button, the camera turns on, the lens zooms out for a second and then back in, then it shows the "Pentax Optio M" load screen, then it shows "Auto Picture" in the center and a green dot in the bottom left with the words "EV Compensation" next to the dot. While it's showing this last screen, it beeps 3 times right before the lens zooms out again then back in just before the camera turns off. I have changed the batt

When i press the power, the lens open halfway, the picture on the LCD is blurry and one second after the lens close and an error appears of the screen saying "D: 5f08 5f0e 5f08 5e02". Can you help me fix this problem? Sending the camera back to Olympus to fix will cost a bundle and where I live, no one fixes digital cameras.

Purchased a digital camera and after about 30 pics the camera won't work. you charge battery and it will start up and then go blank, and you have to recharge battery which only takes about 50 seconds. and the camera does the same thing all over again.

My Panasonic DMC-TZ5 will no longer focus, especially after using zoom. It displays messages re shutting camera off and on, takes 30 seconds to turn off and sounds like a ticking clock! It is only 3 months old. This is easily the worst digital camera I have ever bought and the Internet shows many people have the same problem with this camera. it should be withdrawn!!
If you mention "ticking clock" sounds, then most probably something like a grain of sand fell into the cogs in the zoom mechanism (been taking pictures on a beach? ;). Dirt gets into the mechanism through the gaps between the zoom barrels and the cam ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5 Digital Camera
Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card
Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera
I have a 4-5 year-old Canon Sureshot 3.2 MP (PC1037?)digital camera that has been extremely reliable. I use it for fishing trips primarily now. The viewing screen is now black and I am unable to take new pictures, other than black pictures. The menu still works and the playback of prior pictures still works. Question is whether to toss the camera or do you have a quick and inexpensive fix for this second or third camera in my collection. Thanks.

My camera menu (Pentax K100D) often cuts out before I can select items. This is a random experience as sometimes it holds for more than 1 or two seconds .. but it is extremely frustrating when trying to chnage any aspect of the menu or the function button for ASA sensitivity. As this is my first digital camera it is leaving a very bitter taste in my "mouth". Aside from throwing it away what can I do ? The supplier has already given me a new camera and it still has the same problem .....
