When I recently turned on my camera (D-630 Zoom) to take a picture, I got the message titled Card Setup, with two options "Power off" and "Format". I turned the camera off, took out the memory card (1GB) and put it back in, as I did the last (and only) time this happened, about two years ago. But it has not worked, and I have been getting this message with the two options for a few days. Any ideas? Thank you.
If this exact card has worked in the camera before, chances are it has gone bad. Typically, if the camera says to format the card it is because it does not recognize the card. The only reason this would happen is if the card is unreadable from malfun ... Olympus D-630 Zoom Digital Camera

Hello, I own a Fugi Finepix F100 camera. Last week my dog was pulling on his leash trying to get to a gaggle of ducks and caused me to drop my camera down into snow. I tried to dry it off and in doing so might have damaged the retractable lens cover. Now it is not reliable in opening all the way, I usually need to help slide it back so that the lens is fully exposed. I really don't want to have an expensive repair unless necessary...what do you advise? Thank you! Linda
