I have a Kodak Easyshare model dx5430 digital camera (5mp). It has worked like a champ for years. Last night I was at an event when the image display went dark at picture 31. All preceding photos were able to be reviewed. The camera flash works fine. The camera displays all the other characteristics of a working unit. It turns on and off; the flash works, the menu is accessible - everything. It just doesn't register any photos. Even in close-up mode, there is nothing. It's as if the lens cap is

Hi, I got a new ProSpec 4gb flash card and used it last night in my canon 40d. I forgot to format before I initially used it. Shot lots of great images that I could see on the camera back, but now I am getting the messages - can not create a folder, tried to shoot another image and is says cf card is full, and now I can't review on camera, it says there are no images. Tried Digital Photo recovery software and got nothing. Anything at all I can do? I'm tempted to format now and then see if I can

I do not have a solution, but I do have same problem, or a variation of it: filled my ProSpec 2GB, removed it from my Canon G10 to insert a fresh card, then later reinserted the ProSpec to transfer photos to computer. Several tries, and no go. First ... Canon Digital Cameras

Blurry pictures Using a point and shoot digital camera, it was set on night mode by mistake. Pictures turned out blurry. The snapshots were taken inside at night using flash in the camera. Probably because in night mode, camera was setting depth of field wrong. So using flash and set in night mode was the problem. But can anything be done to correct the blurry pictures taken in this situation?? Any software known to correct this problem? Thank's, Angela Sapp

Nikkon DS1 I have to go to an event this evening, New Year's Eve, at the Rio. I haven't had my Nikkon very long and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I'm sure its not the camera, I'm sure its me not knowing how to use it properly. I did not receive a user's manual when I purchased this camera and I can't seem to get one. I have the camera set on automatic and most of the time, it does okay. However, my shutter when I hold it down seems to take a long time and then I'm getting a blurry pict

I have a one year-old Canon Rebel XTi. Overall, the picture quality is consistent with the 10.2 megapixel capability. But, using the automatic setting, virtually ALL of my pictures are so dark (even with a flash) that they require added contrast and fill-light when reviewing them. I've talked to other owners of the same camera and they DO NOT have the same problem. Do you think there is a correctable problem to address? Or, is it possible that there is an inherent issue with the camera and

I was somehow roped into shooting a friend's night wedding this weekend, even though my photography "expertise" is entirely limited to shooting in natural light. I am a total amateur (and my friend knows this - I have told her over and over she's taking a big risk). So anyway, I've rented a flash and bracket and am looking for any/all the cram-style tips you can give me for programming the flash (it's a Nikon speedlight SB-800 on a D70) and the camera for best use. Thanks :)

First, you MUST practice with the flash before you shoot the wedding. If at all possible arrive 2-3 hours before the ceremony with a friend/model to pose for you so you can practice with the settings until you understand what will and will not work. ... Nikon Digital Cameras

My camera doesn't turn on at all. I took it out of its cover today and I first thought it was a battery problem so I recharge my battery but it still doesn't turn on at all. I tried to connect it to my computer, hoping that it will do something but still nothing. Strangely enough, the lens is on and I don't want to use force to put it back inside, afraid that it might damage the camera even more.Should I send it for repair? and if yes, where is the best place to do it? thanks in advance

Camera flash i generally use my camera on auto mode so i don't have to play around with buttons! however after loaning my camera to my sister for a week my flash is no longer as great as it was!! I used to take pics and the flash would light 2-3 times giving a great, bright picture. It now flashes once before the pic is snapped giving a dark picture. If i push the flash button on the left side of the scrolling circle it goes from red eye flash (which flashes once) to no flash! I'm almost certain

I have a Pentax K 100 D. I have tried using a Flash Memory card (a Sandisk Ultra 16GB) but without success. The message 'Memory Card Error" is displayed even before I could format it. Hi, My D80 has suddenly developed a fault, where it registers the flash as open and in use even when its shut. This has the effect of syncing the shutter speed and limiting it to 1 200th in all modes. In addition, whilst the flash button will still change the flash mode using the command dials, it won't open the flash- almost like the camera thinks the flash is already open. I have tried prising open the flash, and it still doesn't fire even when open. There was no indication of a problem previ

I have a Nikon D300. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, I assume it's a setting issue. In low light situations even with the flash I can't seem to stop action or even properly light things. I have had any kind of issue like this on a camera before. In situations where I should be able to handhold I am using a monopod. I know there is enough light to not have to handhold, I mean I am using the flash. Frankly even with available light this should not be an issue.
