My nikon d3000 showing error press shutter release button again.
iam pressing the shutter release buttion iam any change it is showing me the same sign again and not abel to capter photos.
I had the same problem. After looking up information on google, I found a very good solution. But be aware, it requires you to open the body. So, you'll need a set of very small screwdrivers, make sure you take one that fits perfectly to the screws. Open up the bottom part, you should see a small red gear (responsible for lifting the mirror). Turn it manually a bit, then insert battery and check if your camera works then. If it does, you're lucky. If it doesn't, you'll have to take off the metal part, to which you screw on tripod, as there is another white gear (responsible for lifting the sensor protector) under it. But to take the metal part off, you will have to take off both front and back sides of the body, to get to the screws. At all times remember where each of the screws go, as they have different sizes. when you get to the point where you have removed the metal part, you should get small tweezers, or anything small enough to fir under those wires next to the red gear, as that is where your white gear is at. Move it couple stops back and forth, and then insert the battery, try to press the shutter button 2-3 times, and it should be working. At least it did the job for my D3000. If your camera works, but everything back in the correct order and screws in their correct places, and that's it. You just fixed your camera.
I have the same problem with my D3000, as far as I've seen though, it only happenes when I try to take pictures sideways! my guess is there is some dust or other type of dirt in the camera, which stops the shutter when you try to take the picture!

Nikon d80 - most of the time memory card access lamp flashes and shutter release button doesn't trigger shutter. Sometimes it will stop blinking and camera will fire. Sometimes when it fires it will not show a preview image. When malfunctioning I can not bring up menu screen or access any features (shutter speed, f-top, or review screen. Have tried different memory cards, and lenses with no change.

Nikon FM: Shutter release button will not allow me to take another photo and I'm only on frame 15 of a roll of 24. The film advance lever does not move the film, but it does open all the way to the right & shows the lights on inside (so the battery is OK). I changed the battery just in case, but that didn't solve the problem. I'm wondering if the film somehow came undone inside.
The FM is a mechanical camera, the batteries only power the metering system. Sometimes what happens is when you buy film say in 4 roll packages, they give you 3 24 exps and a 12 exp. I suggest that you rewind the roll and check this. You will only ... Nikon Digital Cameras
Everything seems to be working but the shutter release button. It does nothing, even depressing the button halfway for metering shows nothing. no indicators in viewfinder info line. I assumed it was a third party Battery problem, as there was a Impact battery being used primarily at the time. However replacing the Battery with a pentax battery didn't change anything. Camera not dropped, or damaged in any way, its a sudden problem i cannot seem to troubleshoot.

Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Initially, the shutter released, but later would not operate either with a remote, or by manually depressed the shutter release button. Switching back to auto, the camera seemed to work fine, but in this mode could not get the desired shutter speed. In full manual

D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release. Two weeks ago it was fine, don't think I changed anything, but it's like a setting is

Your camera uses a PTTL flash system. That means the flash on the camera fires a "pre-flash" to set the exposure and then the main flash. Your flash trigger strobes are reacting to the pre-flash and firing before the shutter activates. This all happe ... Pentax K110D Digital Camera

Over exposure The exposure settings on the camera have suddenly become fixed - I can't change them either through fixing shutter speed, OEV, or any other settings. Even tried a factory reset by selecting 'initialize' from the menu, but the problem persists. High or low exposure settings are visible on the viewfinder (i.e. changing the settings shows the picture getting darker or lighter on the screen), but once the picture is shot, it's fixed at an overexposed state.
