Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

Since I bought my HDR-HC1E in December 2005 I enjoyed really my camera, but since a few years now I have experienced so many times a warning about 'moist condensation' then I have to 'eject tape'. This just doesn't work for a long time. It is very tedious and I only found out by accident a way to overcome this problem is by ejecting the mini DV cassette (but keep the mini DV tape in the cassette holder), switching off the camera, remove the battery. There is a tiny dew sensor mounted on the inside near to the head drum and it can be that this sensor is defective.
\015\012To confirm you can use a hair dryer to blow carefully to warm the inside of the tape tray- remove the cassette door , the two screws to get access.
\015\012Once you feel there is a warm temperature inside the chamber then you can insert the DV and see if it works. If so the fault is confirmed. You can loop over the dew sensor if you are able to open and bridge a resistor across the sensor.Other wise try to repeat this for some time and it might change the sensor levels.
\015\012The second point you mentioned is to reset an error and this is due to the sensor being the primry culprit.
\015\012hence if the sensor is off the fault of detection will not come.

I have a SONY mini handycam model DCR-HC52 with 40x optical zoom. It has been working fine until a few days ago. When I insert a new tape the tape holder will not close. You can push the tape sideways into the carrier but the carrier will not descend into the camera. The lcd screen tells me to reconnect the power source. I have tried the camera with the charger cord plugged in and with a fully charged battery with the same results. The minimum repair cost from Sony is over $200 which is over hal

When I insert the cassette into the camera, I hear noise like it is setting up, but when I press play or record, whether I'm in the VCR mode or the Camera mode, it whirrs for a moment, then stops. When I open the camera to take the tape out, sometimes the tape is hanging out of the cassette, sometimes it's not. Also the power light blicks twice quickly. Thanks. Bill Freeman

\015\012The tape hangs out of the cassette which means that one of the wheels that move the tape or one of the motor moving the wheels is gone weak or is faulty.the power light blinking quickly also indicates that the motor part or wheel part i ... Panasonic Digital Cameras

I have a problem with the Panasonic AJ-D200. The tape will not close. The symptom developed after I loaded a head cleaning cassette. I then loaded a normal tape and now it won't close. I then changed this tape drive for a spare drive. Powered up the camera and tried again. I loaded a head cleaning cassette. Then loaded a normal cassette and now this one won't close. The problem seems to be with this head cleaning cassette but I cannot risk using another spare tape deck. I cannot see the

JVC mini-DVR video camera model GR-D750U not operating properly. Upon tape insertion, it shows error code 03 and goes to "safeguard mode" Already attempted to re-insert tape as directed on camera screen and insert new tape, but the problem persists. I have an old Video Camera, Sanyo VM-RZ2R 8mm camcorder. I can't get the cassette holder to eject. My canon vixia hv30 camcorder is not reading tapes anymore. It rewinds and forwards and reports the tape position but the tape counter does not roll showing only dashes as if the tape is empty. All this started when i put in a cassette in which the tape has somehow become crunched. There was some pushing involved and the camera auto-ejected teh tape a couple of time before i realized that the tape inside was crunched. I then straightened the tape by pulling it partly out and rewinding it manual

I have a Panasonic camcorder NV-GS70B which writes to mini DV tapes. I am now finding that on playback of tapes I have recorded it is losing the audio signal on some tapes. Some of these tapes I know originally had an audio signal recorded. Someone has suggested there may be a build up of oxide on the heads which might have been transferred to some of the tapes. I have tried a head cleaning tape (twice) but without effect. I have two concerns: 1) the camera - can it easily be repaired 2)

The cover on the battery and SD card opening on the camera broke off and couldn't be found on the ground. A small piece of cover and the hinge are still on the camera. When the camera is turned on a message 'card cover open' comes on screen and though I made a temporary cover with a thin piece of wooden pop stick and another with some stiff card and taped them on the camera still came up with same message. Can I get a new cover/door or what can I do??

The cassette cage holding my tape in my Canon ZR65 camcorder will not release the tape. The door is open and the cage tries to move forward or backward (barely) and then stops---won't open up. I dropped my charger for my battery a few days ago---could the battery not be getting enough power to the camera to release the tape? This has never happened before.

You can test the charger using a multimeter (it has +-0.5 volts from voltage written on charger), or go to a local repair shop and have it tested.A more serious problem is if the tape is stuck inside or the release mechanism is broken. In ... Digital Cameras
