The spots are always in the same places on my images. This is my favorite camera of all time and I very distressed over this issue. That's quite a spot! Yes, I believe it is on your sensor. It could be one of the following: dirt, a spot from moisture condensing on the sensor after bringing a cold camera into a warm house, or mold. It can be cleaned but I imagine it will be expens ... Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Digital Camera

A week ago I purchased a Canon Ixus 970 digital camera. When using in dark conditions yesterday, I noticed two bright blue dots on the LCD screen. I've switched the camara off and on again and have taken the battery out and replaced it again, but they are still there in exactly the same place. Is this normal for a digital camera? I've had a couple of cheapo's before but have never had this problem. So it seems a bit strange that I have these irritiating dots on a £200 camera. Shoul

I have just started using my husband Pentax K100D camera. The viewfinder seems really dark. My camers is a Fujifilm S5700 that seems to have a lighted viewfinder. Is there any way to make the viewfinder lighter so the image doesn't seem so dark.

The best way to lighten the viewfinder is to purchase a new focusing screen. There are many alternatives available and usually cost around $100. There are specialty screens to allow better manual focusing and others that brighten the viewfinder. Thes ... Pentax K100D Digital Camera

My Panisonic Lumix was dropped in the lake in its case last summer. I dried it out and it still works great. The only thing is now when I take photos of things that are dark like night time photos or a room painted a dark color small spots show up. I am assuming that those are water spots on the lense. What is the best way o fix this problem? Thanks.

If these spots are in different places on each picture, then they are actually reflections of dust particles in the air from the flash being so close to the lens. If they are in the same place on each picture, then they are indeed water spots on the ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital Camera

If you have another lens, switch it and take some shots of the sky. If the spot is gone, it probably was the lens that needs cleaning/servicing. My Sony DSC-W30 has a problem. When turned on the screen picture rarely can be seen. It is either completely dark and a picture taken will also turn out dark and unseen. Sometimes the screen will turn on and off many times and then turn dark. Sometimes I can smack it on my hand and it will go black or come back on. The anti-shake button sometimes allows it to come back on. I do not have any screen messages and all the other features seem to work but in a dark unusable screen.

Sounds like a loose LCD connector. It does not sound like a image sensory problem to me. You will have to disassemble it , remove the connector cable then replug it back into the panel and that should do the trick. However I suggest that you take th ... Digital Cameras

There's some dust spots in my pictures with my Nikon D80. I have sent it for sensor cleaning at Nikon centre but seems that the spots cannot be removed as the technician says it's hidden underneath/behind the sensor. I am not sure how true it is or the technician is just plain lazy because I had to tell him where the spots were 3 times before he got the remove most of them. The spots are not visible if I don't scrutinise the pictures though but it sure is irritating knowing there are 1 more spec

I have a D-80 Nikon with a small spot that always looks darker than the rest of the picture. It is roughly round and about the size of a quarter viewed at arms length compared to the picture it is on. It is only slightly darker than the rest of the picture and is usually only noticeable on a landscape or similar picture where the sky has a spot that looks like slightly darker blue sky. I am guessing there has been a spot of water on the CCD that left behind some residue when it dried.

Sounds to me like you're on the right track. \015\012\015\012There are plenty of places that can clean your CCD for you if you can be without the camera for a little bit, but there is also the solution of cleaning the CCD yourself. This ... Digital Cameras

My camera is producing spots, or freckle-like or shadow-like spots which are noticable on photos such as a clear blue sky photo.
