Hello there, My Samsung ES55 recently stopped working completely (not turning on) for no apparent reason. I had been taking lots of photos, 153 to be exact, and then it just didn't work. Now the camera works but the images are often blurred. I think it might be an auto-focus problem. When I try and tak

Answers :

There may be a fault requiring service (probably not economically viable if they won't do it under warranty), but before you go there, does this camera have a "Macro" feature? This is usually represented by an icon that looks like a flower. If you have set that on, the camera goes into an extreme close-up mode and won't focus on items at normal distances.

Some cameras have a "face recognition" mode that tries to find a face in the shot and focus on that, so check your autofocus modes to see if it is set to something odd like that.

I have a Nikon D80. Whilst at Yosemite National Park a few weeks ago, where it was extremely cold I noticed that my camera would not take photo. After a few tries, it started working fine again. However, yesterday the shutter started sticking, and the ERR message showed on the screen. Then I can take one photo, and same thing happens again. Is there something I can do with settings, or do you think there may be something wrong with the camera body? I took to a camera shop and they say the

I have a Fujifilm Finepix F50SE camera that stopped working sometime ago. I charged it but it still would not work so I thought the battery might be bad and bought a new one. The camera worked for a very short while, then stopped. I bought another battery, but it would not work. I then thought the charger was bad, but it did charge for a good while. The camera's zoom is out and will not retract and the camera will not turn on. I don't have a camera repair shop anywhere near me, especially

I have about 24 pictures on my XD card and I was trying to .rar them in one file on my PC but it was not working and so I ejected the XD card from the PC reader slot. When I put the XD card back in my camera, the message came up 'card needs to be initialized' (or similar words). I notice that to Initialize, it would erase all the files on the card which I do not want to do. Obviously, something has affected the formatting of the XD card whilst I was trying to zip the pictures. Is there some S/W

Canon EOS Rebel XT with EFS 18-55mm lens. Trouble-free for two years. During a weekend of lots of use, suddenly the camera would not autofocus. Switching to manual focus, the camera worked. Then it started working okay in autofocus. Later that day quit altogether. (Would not release shutter even in manual mode.) Removed the lens and cleaned the contacts on both lens and camera, started working okay but only temporary. Went through several cycles of this over the weekend, so I'm not sure

I'm a new user of the D90 (and digital in general), and on my first major trip with it I had problem with the shutter not working. I would take some images, put the camera down without turning it off and move on to the next spot. At the second stop the camera would not work. I'd turn it off, remove the battery, run the lens in and out and eventually it would work again. The message I got was F--, which said that the lens was not installed properly. However the lens was never removed. What's

Hi, My Nikon Coolpix S3000 flash has stopped working after only 3 weeks of having the camera and an aeroplane icon is also showing on the display. I have had the camera at elevation and in humidity, but with a new camera I would think this would not be a problem. I have also charged the camera totally but the flash still does not work. Please advise me any fix. Many thanks Shelley

Card Locked! It is definitely NOT the lock tab. This is my sisters camera. She has used this card for a while. She took it out to try out a card I gave her and when she put the original back in the camera, it says "Card Locked!" whenever anything that would alter its contents is attempted. I have tested this card in my own camera and it works and I tried my card in her camera and that works. Why is this one card suddenly showing up to this one camera as locked?
