Hi, I seem to have a problem with my Finepix Z1 digital camera. When I take a shot it seems to work ok, and the initial review image seems fine as well. But when I go back and review the image on the camera, or off the memory card via my computer the image is distorted. The best way I can describe it is as if the image appears that I took a photo off something on the tv, with a series of horizontal lines running across the image. The video capture seems to work fine though. Can you offer any sug

Screen damage? no problems in two years until today after shooting several "best shot" in monochrome, then returning to regular shooting position in color. no drops ever and only gentle usage. I turned it off and put camera away, then on turning it back on, the LED screen displays one-third solid white, one-third grey and only one third (bottom) of actual image. it also has an odd black "lips" image across the middle of top half. various colored lines across the bright part. I took battery out f

Canon Powershot G10 image quality problems... I have had my Canon Powershot G10 for 2 years and have had the same problem from the start... it is now driving me mad! When viewing photos in anything other than the supplied Canon Zoom Browser or Photo Professional the quality is poor. The images are noticeably blurred and appear grainy. I normally shot in manual mode with ISO80 and record images in RAW+JPEG. Processing the RAW photos seems to slightly improve the blur (though it is still there)

Dark Images I have an S2 Pro that I've really enjoyed until recently. Though all the other functions on the camera appear to work normally all the images are turning out black. Nothing I do seems to affect the image at all. Has anybody else come across this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Recently this happened to me just as I was walking in a church to shoot a wedding (major bummer). I had to rush and get my film backup for this. Anyway, this problem has ocurred with several examples of the S2 pro including mine, one other than mine ... Fuji FinePix S2 Pro Digital Camera

The focal length on my Nikon S52 Coolpix seems to be much shorter than it was originally. No matter the adjustment I make to the settings, at least part of the photo is extremely blurry. I have tried both with Auto-Focus on and off, but there is always a small square in the center of the view finder, and this is only region that shows a focused image. The camera used to produce sharp images throughout the picture. How can I adjust this?

This issues if for Azraelsrl only please as only he had the necessary expertise in this matter. Hello, You helped me resolve my problem with my Panasonic PT-L500U projector, I bought a dead one for $90 and used the circuit boards, ballast and main board, to resurrect mine. I sent you a followup message recently but fixya.com doesn't seem to have passed it on. Here is the question. I have a D60 and when using my new lighting kit if the aperture is faster than1/200 it creates a blackout across part of the image due to the mirror. Any solutions?

That is common. What is happening is your shutter speed is So fast the mirror blocks the sensor when the light hits it. You Can increase you aperture to a height number (f11 for example) and keep your shutter speed below 1/200 to avoid the issue. ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

Screen problems My Olympus FE-4000 12 MP digital camera with 4X wide angle optical zoom was working fine until one afternoon when I went to take a picture. The camera was never dropped into water, or exposed to heavy outdoor elements. The problem is that the screen in general has some white patches and two large black patches over it so you can only see a small part of the image. My question to you is, what seems to be the problem, and how can it be fixed? There is no damage to the outer surface

Lens error When I switch on my Exilim Z-500, the zoom extends only half way of what it used to and there's some cracking noise as if something was blocking it. The zoom is at maximum, i.e. when I zoom in further it goes to digital zoom. But when I try to zoom out, it gives me another cracking noise, a lens error message and switches off. I can't take any pictures because the zoom setting seems to be totally messed up. The image is all blurry - at any distance. I partly disassembled the camera a

White lines My camera now records whie lines across the image, like scan lines on a TV and is prone to overexpose. Recording on video mode is no problem so I assume the sensor is OK. It seems like the post processing software has gone funny. Is there a way to reset it or even take pictures in raw mode . My old casio had hidden keystrokes to do this

No picture the camera doesn't "see" anything - all other parts seem to work, I aim it, shoot, the flash goes off but no screen and no image is taken.  I can access the menu fine. figures this would happen on my vacation to Hawai'i (it worked fine just before I left - could the airport screeners have messed it up?)

Same thing happened with mine. There is a recall on these cameras. I don't know what it's called, but the part that actually captures the image is defective on many of these cameras. There is a recall notice and form on the Nikon site somewhere. I fi ... Nikon Coolpix 5700 Digital Camera

I have a 2-3 year old D60. I did a 5-minute exposure of the night sky to catch the motion of the stars. There is a faint double line going across part of the photo. The lines each have small dots at uniform intervals that you can see when enlarging. One person said it might be a bad sensor. Maybe the aliens really have arrived! Haven't had any other problems such as this or noticed anything on any other photos. Suggestions?

I have a Sony DSC-W370 and the outermost glass lens has been scratched (by a piece of sand, I think). It's ruining every shot I take, really, but everything else on the camera works fine. I can't seem to find a replacement part and I wouldn't know how to fix it even if I had a spare. How would I take it apart, for example? What I'm wondering is whether it would be possible to have this outside piece of glass polished and if I do would it ruin the image? I was thinking of taking it to an e

DSC-W70 The camera seems to work as it should however when I take a picture, the resulting image on the LCD screen is distorted. By this I mean that lines appear horizontally across the screen. The only time that it works well is when I take it out of normal mode and set it to Multi Burst. However with Multi Burst, the flash does not work.

I have a sony cybershot dsc-hc camera. i have auto settings on everything. i noticed when i take a picture, it's got shadows around the image. i can send you an example. it's very frustrating. also at night, i can't seem to get a clear picture even with the flash. as well as indoors at b-day parties. maybe because of the lighting, but all my pics are blurry. thank you sabina

Screen Line There seems to be a line running horizontal in the viewfinder which is more noticeable outdoors in bright light. It causes a slight blur across the middle of the viewfinder. Is this normal or a defect? Thanks.

I don't think that this is a defect. I own an A60 and there is an horizontal line running through my viewfinder. I use my LCD screen more often then my viewfinder, so I've never seen the blur. However I'm pretty sure that your camera is fine. ... Canon PowerShot A60 Digital Camera

Images I seem to get yellowish images and images that are really dark even when I put the flash on. The flash seems weak, almost defected. But then in the next series of shots it will work and the picture will come out just fine. All of this in the same setting with the same subject and everything else a constant too.  Help please, it seems like I must be doing something wrong either that or my camera is broken. P.S. it is brand new Amber

No that isn't it but I am not offended. The flash in fact looks like it goes off but at 10% of the full strength. I had other people try to take a picture to see if the same thing happened to them and it did and I saw them, they did not have their ha ... Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Camera

I first experienced a problem with my Canon S2Is camera when it was only taking pictures of blank images. I found a "fix" recommendation which seems to have gotten rid of the black image problem. However, now when I take pictures the images seem to have horizonal lines through them if I don't use the flash. Also, if I am taking a picture outside or in a lot of light, the image ends up being extremely light. Have any suggestions?

Think you need to do the fix more. Believe your shutter was previously stuck in the closed position. Now it sounds like it is stuck in the open position. Again keep trying the fix to loosen it up. Just to confirm, the "fix" you're talking about i ... Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera

Grainy, image I bought my Riccoh Caplio GX 5.1 mp three years ago. At first it took the best pictures I could wish for, but for monyhs now I am getting very variable results. Some photos are OK, but many are grainy, "pixleated" - having tiny spots of the primary colours throughout the image. There doesn't seem to be any one situation when this happens. It can be inside, outside, flash or none. The pictures also seem to be a lot darker, so photos taken inside or at night are much poorer quality,
