Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

My fz28 is stuck in "mode dial is not in proper position'. How do I open the top and fix the problem? Thanks

Answers :

My mode dial FZ28 is only loose and sometimes I get the same error message. A shop gave me this price for replacing the mode dial: around $100 for the mode dial, $25 for the man-work (French prices). But I don't know if it can be repaired (not changed). If you have fixed yours, any idea will be apreciated. Thanks;

Does anyone has suggestion how to remove the top cover to reach the side of the mirror. Is there any schematics or diagrams available on internet that show how to open it up properly. I searched for service manual but found only ones for older models. Regards, John

My flash seems to be stuck in the "suppressed" mode. Also the Manual on page 64 refers to a "turn" of the "command dial" to the "flash mode setting". Since that item is not described anywhere else and the only turnable dial is the "mode" dial, I assume that it means to press the flash mode arrow. When I do that nothing happens. The flash modes do not display as described in the manual. I can't figure out how to get the flash to function properly again. I have made all my attempts with fre

I own a Sony CCD-V99 Camera. It is well off any warranty. I have the camera case opened so that I can see all of the components. Hi, My D80 has suddenly developed a fault, where it registers the flash as open and in use even when its shut. This has the effect of syncing the shutter speed and limiting it to 1 200th in all modes. In addition, whilst the flash button will still change the flash mode using the command dials, it won't open the flash- almost like the camera thinks the flash is already open. I have tried prising open the flash, and it still doesn't fire even when open. There was no indication of a problem previ

Stuck Lens I fell on my camera just recently and the lens is stuck open half way. When you power it on it moves a bit to the side and up, then to the other side and up and then beeps couple of times. Fuji a345 I have a 2 year old Fuji a345 which periodically has a problem with the lens cover not opening and, of course, the lens not extending into position when the camera is powered on. Generally turning the camera off and on a few times will eventually result in the lens cover opening and allowing the lens to extend into proper position for shooting pictures. Any ideas.

Command dial on a friend's Fuji Finepix S9000 is NOT functioning. Can't control aperture, shutter speed, flash settings, etc. Can it be opened and fixed (he has no warranty, thus no problem with opening it). The LCD on my DMC-TZ5 looks like someone ran the image through one of those turn-your-picture-into-a-cartoon filters. The problem is present in both record and review modes (and menus too), both for still pictures and video. It does not affect the actual pics/video once downloaded to the computer; it's just a problem with the LCD display.
