Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

Hi Guys, I am hoping that someone can offer some explaination for the following. I bought a Nikon D7000 in November and it has suddenly started displaying 3 small doughnut shaped marks on my images. I have not removed my Nikon 16-85 lens from the body so I would not have thought that sensor dust was the problem. To eliminate that the problem is on the lens I have now swapped the lens with my telephoto and the problem is still there! I have just sent an email to the company that I purchased from

Don't kid yourself....most cameras come with factory dust already installed!!! Yours just took awhile to deposit on the sensor. Google the words "cleaning a DSLR sensor" and you will find sites showing you in pictures how to clean the sensor and where you can get the supplies needed.

I'm a new user of the D90 (and digital in general), and on my first major trip with it I had problem with the shutter not working. I would take some images, put the camera down without turning it off and move on to the next spot. At the second stop the camera would not work. I'd turn it off, remove the battery, run the lens in and out and eventually it would work again. The message I got was F--, which said that the lens was not installed properly. However the lens was never removed. What's

There's some dust spots in my pictures with my Nikon D80. I have sent it for sensor cleaning at Nikon centre but seems that the spots cannot be removed as the technician says it's hidden underneath/behind the sensor. I am not sure how true it is or the technician is just plain lazy because I had to tell him where the spots were 3 times before he got the remove most of them. The spots are not visible if I don't scrutinise the pictures though but it sure is irritating knowing there are 1 more spec

I have a Nikon D-80 with 18-135 kit lens. after 2 years 5 months (and thus out of warranty) very careful use, it displayed ERR and froze. No change of lens, reset etc. made any difference. The place where I bought it said it had to go to Nikon UK for repair (carriage charge GBP20). Estimate for repair is GBP150. Is there a problem with this camera/lens combination that would make it of unsatisfactory quality under the UK Sale of goods act 1979? Thanks in advance

Nikon d3000 I made the mistake of recently dropping my new D3000 (Was in a padded case, and only fell a small distance) but since the fall my pictures are not at all in focus and are very foggy. Everything else seems fine except for the fact that a small black piece of plastic fell out, though I am not sure if it fell out of the lens or the camera body. My big question - do you think there is a problem with the camera body - or is it the lens? http://www.tiikoni.com/tis/view/?id=aaa702a (Pictu

I own a Nikon D50 and the 55-200 lens will not autofocus (lens continually extends then retracts but never locks into focus). Ive read that depressing the lens release button whilst holding the lens in place and swivelling the lens a couple of times sometimes works (cleans muck off the sensors). I tried this but to no avail. Any halp would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

I have Nikon D50 (11 months old) with two NIKON lenses - 18-55 (came with camera) and 70-300 (from my old Nikon F65). I have recently noted a spot appear in certain shots (mainly where sky is present) that is there in the same place whichever lens I use. Could this be a dust speck or similar on the CCD? If so, is there an easy way of cleaning the sensor? Regards Roland Zilz UK

My Nikon D5000 gives out blurry pictures and the auto focus sometimes does not work. I've sent the lens to be examined & repaired and today I tested it again after being repaired. Today I took a picture of a person standing in front of a wooden fence and instead of focusing on the person (which was my intention), the camera focused on the fence. The result: The fence is sharp but the person is blurry. What causes this? Is it the lens or the body? How can I solve these problems?

I've had my camera for about 3 years now and have never had any problems until a couple of weeks ago. When I turned the camera on, it forced me to reset date/time and would occasionally show aperture 00 and not take a picture.
