Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

I think it is possible I have inadvertently changed a setting. I use this camera daily to document construction projects. The HP PB360t has always performed perfectly until the last time and now all the pictures are comming out completely overexposed. It is hard to see any details of the image at all. I have tried in low light levels and the images are coming out at all but, poorly. I have experimented in vein with settings. As much as I use the camera I rarely adjust any settings, don't kn

\015\012I suggest to you have to reset all the factory settings of your camera. As you said you can used it and the result are perfect. After that if you still not staisfied with the outcome of the pictures that's the time that you can set the settings accordingly on the purpose or mode.

\015\012I have the same issue and i just reset all the factory settings. I just want to inform you that if your going to reset your camera. All the pictures that was already save on it will be deleted. So I suggest that you have to transfer it to your computer/laptop/usb so you can still view those pictures that you still needed.

Three possibilities:
Camera is in manual mode, but if that is the case, in low enough light you would not get over exposure.
Camera is set to very high ISO -but same as before, in low enough light it would not over expose.
Camera is set to +2 or more exposure compensation. That will almost always over expose. After calculating the exposure, the camera would then let in 4x the amount of light calculated. Look for the adjustment that goes from -2 to +2.

I was taking test photos around the house with my new camera and the flash won't fire properly (the flash pops up out of the camera but it makes little sparking sounds and flickering on and off). I've tried various modes including auto night etc but it won't stop flickering (just sparking sounds and a flickering flash like a light bulbs does just before it blows).also I have tried taking images using the basic auto mode in a low lit area and the flash pops up but does not fire.

I bought a power adapter for the camera, but it doesn't seem to work without batteries in the unit. If I use the batteries alone, I will eventually get a red blinking light at the back of the camera, indicating low battery power, hence the purchase of a power adapter. When using both power adapter and batteries, the red light on the front of the camera is illuminated. The green light on the back of the camera is blinking. The camera seems to work fine while recording video. But why won't th

Battery life When I first had this camera, about 3 years ago, the rechargeable batteries I bought seemed to last for ages. But more recently the "low battery warning" has been coming on very shortly after inserting freshly charged batteries. I have tried using ordinary batteries (high powered) but even with these I can only take a few pictures before the warning light comes on. Once the light is on, the camera goes dead after a few more pictures so it's not giving me a false "low battery" warnin

When shooting indoors with my 300d (base rebel digital),I have been encountering some light metering problems.I use the 430ex as an external flash. While shooting a subject in front of an external light source-(window, etc.), no matter how small of the frame area include the outside light source, the cameras light meter will invaribly expose the entire image based on the outside ambient light, causing the image to be grossly underexposed. Do you have an explanation/solution for this aggrivating

Set the metering mode to Partial Metering. This uses only 9% of the field of view, centered around the middle square in the viewfinder, as the subject area. If you still find it too bright, try changing the exposure compensation a couple of clicks. ... Canon Digital Cameras

I have a Nikon D300. I can't seem to figure out what's wrong, I assume it's a setting issue. In low light situations even with the flash I can't seem to stop action or even properly light things. I have had any kind of issue like this on a camera before. In situations where I should be able to handhold I am using a monopod. I know there is enough light to not have to handhold, I mean I am using the flash. Frankly even with available light this should not be an issue.

White Balance images are redish. I'm using studio strobs. One 32inch soft box and one 4 inch umbrella. Modle light only in soft box. ISO100 Shutter 125 f:8 exposure determine with light meter. The room is also lit with tunsent light 10 feet high. Thanks. Lee

With your D200, you can use the kelvin temperature mode instead the other. As I work in TV where we do the white balance very often, I can guess what's the Kelvin temperature when I shoot. I only use Kelvin now on the D200 and it's more reliable! ... Nikon D200 Digital Camera with 18-200mm Lens

I first experienced a problem with my Canon S2Is camera when it was only taking pictures of blank images. I found a "fix" recommendation which seems to have gotten rid of the black image problem. However, now when I take pictures the images seem to have horizonal lines through them if I don't use the flash. Also, if I am taking a picture outside or in a lot of light, the image ends up being extremely light. Have any suggestions?

Think you need to do the fix more. Believe your shutter was previously stuck in the closed position. Now it sounds like it is stuck in the open position. Again keep trying the fix to loosen it up. Just to confirm, the "fix" you're talking about i ... Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera

Good evening, I have a DSC F717 serial no 1749705. I lent this camera to my son some years ago and had it returned recently. As I tried to relearn my way around the camera I discovered that the image as seen both through the eye piece and on the display appeared to be stripey a bit like a night shot of car tail lights. The image is unclear. My son has not been using the camera for some years, possibly , and it was stored in his roof space. Any thoughts Please. Drew Wigham

I have a samsung digimax S600 camera. From not too long back i have been having problems with the image quality of pictures clicked in broad day light in the outdoor. There is no problem, however, indoors whatever the light condition. Also, if i shoot a video using the camera, even on the outdoors, i get satisfactory results (not any different from earlier). What could be the problem? Thanks.

Hi. I have had a Samsung S1050 camera for just under 3 years, and have had satisfaction in using the camera and with the picture quality for most of that time, however just within the last few weeks, the quality of photographs taken has gone rapidly downhill, with white-out when using the flash and poor light levels, and when zooming in on any picture that has recently been taken, there are noticeable horizontal lines across it through the entire photo, much like an old 70's tv. Moire patterns A few months ago I decided to 'wet my toe' with digital photography and I bought very cheap Mustek GSmart Mini 2 digicam. As you might expect with a $60 camera the image quality is a bit limited due to the fixed focus lens, low resolution (1.3MP) and poor low light performance. Anyway, now that I can see the advantages of digital photography I'm planning on buying a decent camera e.g. Canon S230 to overcome the problems of the Mustek. One problem that the mustek has

Color Saturation I just upgraded to the Digital Rebel XT, and I noticed that my images (i usually shoot at ISO 100 w/a polarizer) are a little bland in the color saturation department. I have the camera set to Adobe RGB and am using photoshop to process the images (I usually shoot the high-quality JPGs), but I'm frustrated that the only way to get the color to match what I'm truly seeing in front of me is to pump up the saturation levels in Photoshop. I'd like the camera to capture that in the f

Indoors it's always better to use a flash. Your camera will switch to proper settings automatically on auto mode. Indoors you can use ISO 400, 1/125s, f5.6 (all this depends on light and distance). Outside ISO 100, 1/250s, f8.With camera's auto ... Nikon D5000 Digital Camera

Canon SD600 I used my camera to take pictures of fireworks and I noticed that afterwards, all the photos I was taking outside in daylight were turning white. If I take pictures in the dark, they turn out perfect, and low light pictures are fairly normal except anywhere where there is a light source (lamp, window, etc) the color is streaky and orange. This particular camera has no way to adjust the aperture settings and I am considering taking it to a shop to have it looked at. Is there anything
