Having problems with your Digital Cameras ?

When I press the clicker ( button to take the shot ) it takes like 1 second before the shot is captured, is there a way to speed it up ? I take a lot of pics of bands playing, and I'm all ready & focused in, and there goes the singer with some kina gesture to the crowd ( or guitrarist ) I snap, before the snapper goes off the gesture is gone. :(

You say in your description that you're "focused in". That means that you've pressed the shutter button half-way and allowed the camera to lock in the focus (it will beep). You need to maintain that half-press until the moment you want to snap the picture and then press the rest of the way. That will give you a faster, "instant" picture. Is that what you do?

I have a Nikon Coolpix L110. When I take pictures, they often look yellow. I can get the color to correct by focusing on a nearby area, but when I return to the shot I want to take, the color almost always goes back to a yellowish cast. I bought this camera because I was having the same problem with my last Nikon. I thought it was the camera. Now I'm thinking the problem is with the manufacturer.

The screen on my M380 does not show the image. The camera is fully charged and when I press the "on" button, the lens extends and opens. The screen is illuminated, but there is no image of what the picture will be. I can go ahead and take a picture -- it makes the appropriate sounds as it normally would and the flash goes off if needed. In fact, when I then plug into the computer, I can see that a picture was taken. However you cannot focus the shot because you cannot see the image on the s

Upon hitting the 'power' button, the camera makes a low beeping noise, the lens on my Olympus FE-280 goes in and out, and then stays extended. The camera can then only take a poorly focused shot. The Wide/Telephoto button does not work.

Focus problems I have 2 digital cameras already so I know to hold the button down 1/2 way for focusing. The Nikon is new. I HATE manuals. I am having trouble focusing on close up shots. They are either real blurry or slightly out of focus. It seems the shutter speed is so slow that any movement of my hand ruins the shot. I can take a shot of something, a plant for instance, pulled in fairly close. One shot may be ok and the next one is blurry

There are two likely reasons for the blurry pictures. One possibility is, as you surmised, a slow shutter speed. Try mounting the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also try turning on the flash. The other reason is focu ... Digital Cameras

I was using my Nikon D40 at son's baseball game with the 55-200 mm lens & was too close to the fence when zooming since it tapped the fence. Now it makes a squeaky noise when trying to auto focus. It will not take a pic on auto focus but will focus and if I flip the A / M switch on the lens itself over to M it will take a pic.It will take pics fine with the 18 - 55 mm lens. It's nota problem with the Zoom, but with the autofocus. When it attempts to autofocus, it goes thru the extremes of the le

Camera takes photos without actually "focusing" on the object. Seems their is no "prefocus" with the button. As soon as you touch the focus button, the camera automatically takes the photo. When the camera was working correctly, you'd push the focus button half way down and then it would do it's job. Now it just takes the shot if you barely even touch the button. Not good...........

I tried to take a shot of the Vanderbilt baseball stadium, and it came out a little soft and out of focus. I was in Apperture priority at F8 to maximize the depth of field, exposure compensation -2/3EV, metered in the field, and tried to focus on the two guys sitting there in the midfield. Tried one shot AF, the manually tweaking it in OIS mode 2. On screen it looked fine, but on the computer screen not so much so. What could I have done to make it better? How can I set the focus to infinity?

1)The exposure was actually fairly decent. Whatever you metered on wasn't far off.\015\012\015\0122) There was no reason to force the camera all the way up to F8 as in this picture there was no challenge regarding DOF as everything you were shooting ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

I recently purchased the D80 and had no problems, it worked great and took magnificant shots. However, the other day I turned it on and the viewfinder was now, dark and out of focus. The battery was fully charged and the diopter adjustment failed to fix the problem. I also noted that there was a square in the upper right viewfider that was clear and in focus, just like the entire viewfinder used to be. Of note, it still takes clear, sharp, in-focus shots, it's just that the view in the viewfinde

Missing shots I have a Coolpix L18/L16 Nikon and I am missing all of my pictures. I take them but by the time the shot goes through the picture is lost. I have a Canon zoom lens EF-5 18-55mm for my Canon EOS 450D. I am having trouble with my AF. If I set it on AF it will not focus automatically, but if I manually turn the lens for a close up it will then take the picture. Won't focus I was out shooting some sports the other day and all of a sudden my camera (D70 with a 200mm lense) would not focus and started going a little crazy. however, it would still take a shot occasionally. when i tried to change the menu, the menu itself on the monitor was jumping around and wouldnt let me select anything. then suddenly it worked again. then again, just as suddenly, it stopped working. this has never happened before and I'm at a total loss other than to take it to a dealer
