Nikon Coolpix L12: Hadn't used the camera for a couple of months; removed the batteries and recharged them (Nimh), and now the camera won't turn on. Put in a couple of new alkalines and still won't turn on. Removed the memory card, and no effect. Has not been dropped or whacked.
Most likely what has happened is that some slight oxidation has occurred on the battery terminals inside your camera. Take some alcohol on a qtip and clean them thoroughly. Let it dry good, and see if that works. If it doesn't, try cleaning th ... Nikon COOLPIX L12 Digital Camera
White Screen: I turned on my camera shortly after replacing the batteries, but when I looked at my screen, it was completely white. I turned it off, then turned it on again, and the same thing happened. Later, I tried to see if it'll work after I connected it to my computer, but the screen was still white. The camera has been dropped a couple of times, but it wasn't anything severe - just a couple of centimeters from the ground, and I'm pretty sure the screen isn't cracked (I didn't see an

Lens Error I purchased a Nikon P90 a month ago; and it was working just fine. A couple of days ago during a photo shoot (after taking 190+ photos without any trouble), the camera went crazy.. It shows a lens error when turned on; asks to 'remove the lens cap' even if it is already removed. The lens starts to zoom out & in for a couple of times; then this error message comes up and just hangs. Tried removing the card, battery and even tried re-charging the cell. I purchased it from UK, and I'm n

Pentax Optio 555 Digital Camera. Once I have taken a couple of photos in a row, the camera continually flashes red & green. Like it is continually thinking. I cannot then even get the camera to shut down eithout removing the battery or just leaving it until it times itself out. If i remove the battery, I still have to turn it on & then off again to get the lense to retract. Can you help to solve this problem. It does it no matter what the charge in the battery is like. Full or half used.
Hello ... Digital Cameras
Even with fresh batteries installed, I only get a few shots before the "battery empty" icon appears. Then, if I remove and then re-insert the same batteries, the initial result is a green battery icon which may only give me one shot before the "battery empty" icon appears again. If I use only the viewfinder, I may get a couple more shots. It looks like an electrical problem but what should I do?

I've had my camera for about 3 years now and have never had any problems until a couple of weeks ago. When I turned the camera on, it forced me to reset date/time and would occasionally show aperture 00 and not take a picture. Turning the camera off and then on again, or removing and replacing the battery temporarily took care of the problem. Now I am getting the ERR 01 and can not take pics at all, regardless of which lens I use or whether I am using the IS option. I've tried cleaning the c

Last night was taking photos indoors with flash on auto setting. All appeared fine except thre was a vertical line on the viewfinder, not quite half way across. After about 4 flash photos, the flash turned itself off and it wouldn't allow me to adjust the settings back to flash again. I checked the setting and it was still on auto and there was plenty of battery left. Tried a couple of shots and they took, but no flash, so useless. My Nikon S210 is not focusing correctly. It's just recently started to act in this manner. I had a 'lens error' screen this summer after getting some sand in the lens from my pocket and I beat that one by 100's of 'on' then 'off' attempts and removing the battery when it wouldn't turn off. Literally a couple hundred times over the course of a week and it finally came around and started operating correctly. I've taken maybe 50 pictures since then and kept the camera in it's case when in my pock
