Shutter Lag All, I have an Olympus 5050 Digital Camera that I have been using for a while now for home use and I am quite happy with the results. The only complaint I have is with the capture speed of the camera. The shutter lag seems to be about between 3-5 seconds which becomes quite obvious while taking pictures of moving objects (moving kids). I don't know if the issue is with the shutter speed of the camera or with the slower memory cards. I am using the SimpleTecg 256 MB Compact Flash card

Card speed won't interfere with shutter lag.\015\012\015\012The lag is much less (near non-existent) if you pre-focus. Or use manual focus with small enough aperture to get lots of depth of field. Make sure your kids are in the focus zone and just sn ... Olympus Camedia C-5050 Zoom Digital Camera

Looks like there is something on lenses inside the camera because when I do wide zoom directed on white paper there are few gray dots visible on the picture. I know this has a simple solution, but this is my first digital and I am a litlle "slow". When I review my pictures on the camera, certain areas of the pictures flash 'black.' Sometimes the black patches are across a face and other times it is around other objects. I do not remember it doing this when I first started using it.

The farther away the object, the more the camera focused behind the object. I returned the camera to Nikon for repair under warrantee. They made some adjustments. The focus has definitely improved, but I don't think it is qu
