My Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H7has bought up an issue where it brings up an 'usb connecting' screen for one or two seconds occasionally when using the camera. This does not effect the photo taking quality at all, it just means I have to wait for the screen to clear. Do I have to get a tech. to fix it, or can it be done in camera. 2 years old and out of warranty. Very annoying. Any thoughts. Thanks, Ian.

I have a Kodak EasyShare C143 serial number KCGMU03223587 and this is my second one since August of this year. I had the same problem with both. The first one I was able to exchange, but the second one I can't since I haven't been able to find my receipt for it. The problem is I go to turn on the camera and the lens goes out so far and that is it. No screen or anything. If the screen does happen to come on it is on for like 2 seconds and it goes off. I have a new (Dec., 2009) D90. This morning I discovered that I had an "Err" message and a "CHA" message. Both were on the LCD panel on the top of the camera. I was not able to turn the camera off, and the only way to turn it off was to take out the battery. Upon reinserting the battery, everything appeared normal, but after taking one shot the problem reappeared. The interesting thing was that I took the camera body to a Nikon certified shop in New York, and they tried it with a different lens,

Focus problems I have 2 digital cameras already so I know to hold the button down 1/2 way for focusing. The Nikon is new. I HATE manuals. I am having trouble focusing on close up shots. They are either real blurry or slightly out of focus. It seems the shutter speed is so slow that any movement of my hand ruins the shot. I can take a shot of something, a plant for instance, pulled in fairly close. One shot may be ok and the next one is blurry

There are two likely reasons for the blurry pictures. One possibility is, as you surmised, a slow shutter speed. Try mounting the camera on a tripod or other stable support. You might also try turning on the flash. The other reason is focu ... Digital Cameras

Sloooooowww speed I LOVED my 20D the first two years I had it. Then last spring it started slowing down - I was no longer able to fire off shots like before in multi-shot mode. Then one day it wouldn't stop clicking off shots. I turned it off, took the battery out and let it sit for a bit. Then it stopped working altogether and I got an error 99. It went into the shop and Ritz Camera said they fixed it - but they didn't. It worked one hour and did the same thing. I loaded a firmware update on it
