LCD/Recording Picture When I take a picture, the camera will only record about 1/4 of the picture on the LCD screen, then rest of the image is black. I was taking lots of pictures before that and the image recorded on the LCD. All of a sudden (in the mdidle of taking lots of pictures), I noticed the the whole image was not recording. I have changed the battery, changed Compact Flash Cards and nothing corrects it. Even when I upload the picture to the computer, the image is only one about 1/4

Hi, the flash card card-eject lever spring is broken and wont eject the card. u have to manually push the card in place and pull the card out. the lever stays up until u shut the card slot door.once the card is in place the camera can read the card if images already exist. but...it will not record an image and shows up as blank on the screen after the shutter takes the image? is this the cause of the broken eject lever. thanks.

I have the same problemI think that the reason that the not record the image is that the card slot door is pushing down on the card eject lever and ejecting the card when the door is closedThe only answer I can think of is to shorten the leverdavidh ... I've got an A-75 digital (Canon) When pushing down on the shutter button, the orange light is on next to the viewing window. It will not take a photograph and the flash does not work. I looked through the manual and it said something about the flash charge. When I attempt to take a photo the image has green squares throughout the viewing screen as if they are focusing screens. I also tried to reformat the camera with the new memory card. NO Luck. Any suggestions?

Camera dying? It will powerup like normal. But when a CF card (tried different ones)is in the camera and you press the button to take a photo, the screen will either shut off clean or give a flash of scrambled image then shut off and freeze. The only way to reset is to remove the batteries. It is also draining the batteries in the few attempts to power it on. On a Canon 450 D. Camera takes images in Basic zone (full auto, portrait, macro, night scene & no flash) but when moved into creative zone (p,Tv, Av, M, A-Dep) the shutter remains open for 30+seconds and when it closes no image is recorded on the card. Is it a camera setting or a fault?

Hi,\015\012It sounds like the 'mirror up' option is selected since the mirror will stay up for 30 seconds then close and it wouldn't be active on any of the basic settings. You'll want to go into your settings menu and disable mirror lockup. If you n ... Canon EOS 450D Digital Camera

My Z1 suddenly started having white lines across the photos I take. Some are narrow and some wider, virtually wiping out the image. I thought it might be the memory card but it happens with a different one too. Might it be the battery? There is no indication that the battery is low. What else can it be? The camera is about 3 years old and this just started last summer. I can send you a picture to demonstrate the issue.

I've been using this camera for just over 2 years now with the same 1GB SD memory card. but just a week ago at my high school graduation party and ceremony, I've taken a decent amount of pictures(maybe about 30 or so) and I know that isn't much for a 1GB SD card.
