\015 I am the one you awarded the Fix to for your camera issue. I have access to and have used the D40. I belong to a camera group. We are all professionals and have all won numerous ribbons with our photos. When you see the highlighted areas it generally means these areas will be 'hot', so change the Speed or Fstop, but mostly you can correct these hot spots in your picture editor software. If you know how to change the ASA values by using the +1 or -1 settings, similar to an analog camera do that. If you do not have experience with Analog Cameras make no changes other than to take one with some changes, one with no changes and one iwht other changes on your camera. This is called bracketing your shots. You can find a lot of helpful web sites to help you further and your Nikon manual has good information on dealing with this, so that may be your reading this evening. You can also diminish these hot spots by moving your position, changing the flash use, if any, or more often than not do nothing, but plan to work it in your picture editor. What software are you using to edit your photos?Worldvet \015

Hi, My Nikon Coolpix S3000 flash has stopped working after only 3 weeks of having the camera and an aeroplane icon is also showing on the display. I have had the camera at elevation and in humidity, but with a new camera I would think this would not be a problem. I have also charged the camera totally but the flash still does not work. Please advise me any fix. Many thanks Shelley

Nikon D50, digital SLR, I was using my camera at a wedding and the flash just stopped working. The camera thinks the flash is going off - it pops up and takes them quickly but no light goes off.... do these cameras have traditional 'bulbs' could it be as simple as the bulb has blown and it needs a new one? or am i looking at something bigger than that? I am normally an old school film camera person - i dont know much about this at all... thanks kathleen

We just purchased a Nikon Coolpix L110 digital camera. We completed the start up process and attempted to take a few test photos. we took two photos with flash and on the second photos, a loud noise was heard when the flash operated. We could never get the flash to operate again. We have read through the troubleshooting guide supplied with the camera and changed batteries and settings. No luck. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Hello, my Nikon D-90 is stuck with the r-33 error message with the f-stop flashing. This happened after I emptied the memory card onto my laptop from a card reader. When I reinserted it the camera froze. I tried a friend's card ( he has a Nikon too ) and his card didn't work on my camera either so that eliminates the card I think. Any ideas?
