Answers :

Sounds like a small gear inside of the lens either got off of alignment or broke. Unfortunately, parts aren't sold to the public to fix these since it's not an easy thing to do and so your only real option of fixing it would be to take it to a repair shop or send it in to Cannon and they will fix it for you. I have a Canon EOS 1000D, and I've had it for almost 4 years. Recently i started having problems with both my lenses. Autofocus works but through the everything appears blurry when "focuses" and thus I can't use manual focus anymore. In conclusion, everything appears blurry through the eyepiece but the lenses obviously work as the pictures come out perfectly clear when using autofocus. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Won't focus I was out shooting some sports the other day and all of a sudden my camera (D70 with a 200mm lense) would not focus and started going a little crazy. however, it would still take a shot occasionally. when i tried to change the menu, the menu itself on the monitor was jumping around and wouldnt let me select anything. then suddenly it worked again. then again, just as suddenly, it stopped working. this has never happened before and I'm at a total loss other than to take it to a dealer

There are a number of flexible circuit connectors on the bottom two circuit boards of the D70. Possibly one or more have come loose. The flex connector for the rear LCD panel is also on 1st circuit board (memory compression PCB). You may have a pro ... Nikon D70s Digital Camera

Camera won't take picture. I hold down the button, it focuses on object, orange light telling me flash is ready is lit and nothing happens. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Nikkor lense I have a AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor ED 18-70mm lense. Up to now it has been good for me. Now I have a problem. Trouble focusing I am using my D60 with a 18-55mm lens, i have it set on auto its been working fine until recently when it is unable able to focus when i press on the release button. All that seems to happen is the lens keep going in and out where it is trying to focus. I have removed the lens and checked the contact but its still not working help!!!

Not too many things that can do this are simple, but here are a few you can check. First, make sure you aren't too close for the lens to focus. For the 18-55, that's only about 5" from the front of the lens, so I doubt this is the problem. \ ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

I have a Nikon D60 and my autofocus has stopped working. It is not because of the lense because i have tried other lenses and the auto focus won't work with them either so it must be an issue with the body.

You should check custom menu setting 2, and make sure it's set to one of the auto modes. Make sure the lenses you are using are AF-S and not regular AF lenses. The D60 has no autofocus motor, so autofocus only works with AF-S lenses. \015\012 ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

Hi, I've just recieved my nikon d90 back from a repair and service, and although everything appears to be working fine, whenever I want to change shooting modes,( auto, P, M, flash off etc), they only work once I have selected them, and then turned the camera off and back on. My D70 (which I just bought on ebay) is having problems with AF. At time the AF works fine but then for no reason it refuses to work for hours to days. I have two bodies so I can swap lenses to see that its not the lens. If I switch to manual focus, it the camera works fine. I can see the little pins around the lens fitting retract when I switch the camera to manual. Seems like a problem with the internals that control AF. No other problems are apparent to me. Any suggestions?
