The problem is\015\0121- some dirt somehow got on the outside of the lense. After it was retracted fully in, it prevents the camera from opening again. When you turn it on, if it opens a little bit, try to pull it out NOT too hard and let go ... Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2 Digital Camera

Canon EOS Rebel XT with EFS 18-55mm lens. Trouble-free for two years. During a weekend of lots of use, suddenly the camera would not autofocus. Switching to manual focus, the camera worked. Then it started working okay in autofocus. Later that day quit altogether. (Would not release shutter even in manual mode.) Removed the lens and cleaned the contacts on both lens and camera, started working okay but only temporary. Went through several cycles of this over the weekend, so I'm not sure

My Nikon d40x is roughly three years old and the lens has had to have been repaired twice due to it being dropped. Lens is working fine though now. Yesterday i was getting out my car and the camera fell out my bag, the lens still works fine but now the camera is refusing to take more than 1 photo and saying "card is full". Tried my brothers memory card in it and its doing the same although his memory card works fine with his camera (nikon d60). Someone help!

I have a EOS-650, 35mm film camera(not digital)body. I want to purchase a lens for it. I need to know what model number lens and type will be compatable for this camera body? There are several to choose from but only certain types of lens will work on this type camera body. Some examples are EF type and USM type. I do not want to purchase a lens that I will be over paying for or that will not work on this type of body or is not design for it all together.
I am sorry but everyone will give you an openion that may work for them and not you. You need to go to cam shop and test the lenses that fit in your cam and get all information that you need then go back on your net and shop for good prices, but as ... Digital Cameras
I have a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 Macro lens working on a Nokon D40X and Nikon D300. For medium to long distances the autofocus does not seem to work with this lens. I think it used to but now I notice that from about 40 feet away the autofocus does not work. The same happens with both cameras. Other lenses work fine so I don't think it is the camera. Is there any history of problems or is it a feature of the lens? thanks, Richard Brand

Lens error I've had my camera for about 9 months and it's been working fine. 2 weeks ago I turned it on, went to take a photo and instead got this "Lens error" and the lens won't retract back in and the camera won't do anything. Sounds like this is a typical problem. Anything I can do to get my camera working again?

I'm a new user of the D90 (and digital in general), and on my first major trip with it I had problem with the shutter not working. I would take some images, put the camera down without turning it off and move on to the next spot. At the second stop the camera would not work. I'd turn it off, remove the battery, run the lens in and out and eventually it would work again. The message I got was F--, which said that the lens was not installed properly. However the lens was never removed. What's

When I turn on my Nikon coolpix S210, it gives me a lens error prompt. I have read posts on another website and it said everything from hold the lens out by force to turn the lens slightly clockwise while it is out to rap it slightly a few times, to changing battery to taking the camera apart. Short of taking the camera apart, I have tried them all. Nothing works. I just put alot of money into the camera buying extra picture cards, batteries, etc. NOW IT WON'T WORK! And there doesn't s

Help!! My Sony DSC-W100 isn't working. I've been sifting through the message boards and none of the solutions were working for me. Some of my friends were fiddling with my camera and the camera got left with the lens out and no battery left. So I charged the battery and put the battery back in but now the lens is expanding and retracting four times while the camera reads "access" and then "turn the camera off and then on." I've been doing this repeatedly with no avail! Is there anyway to fix it
The only thing that can be done but may not fix it is to push reset switch under battery compartment door (pinhole)..also make sure you do use fresh batteries.Use good batties not cheap batteries because these camera require good current to drive ..i ... Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W100 Digital Camera
I have a Nikon D40X camera with two lenses - one is 18-55 and the other is 55-200. Unfortunately, when I was at a wedding rehearsal, my 55-200 lens dropped off the pew on to the ground. It was not on the camera at the time and it has not worked properly ever since. My camera works properly with the 18-55 lens. Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Essentially, the camera can still focus, in and out, but when I try and push the button down, to take a picture, it just continues to refocus
It is broken - either you wear the cost and replace it, or send it to a lens specialist and have it reset. Without seeing it, it is impossible to ascertain the condition. Most lens repairers will give you a quote for only a few dollars.\015\012 ... Nikon D40X Digital SLR Camera Digital Camera with 18-55mm Lens

My D70 (which I just bought on ebay) is having problems with AF. At time the AF works fine but then for no reason it refuses to work for hours to days. I have two bodies so I can swap lenses to see that its not the lens. If I switch to manual focus, it the camera works fine. I can see the little pins around the lens fitting retract when I switch the camera to manual. Seems like a problem with the internals that control AF. No other problems are apparent to me. Any suggestions?
Sounds like a contact issue - either they are not making consistently or they are just dirty. I'd start with a good contact cleaner (Radio Shack or photo store) and spray the snot out of both the camera contacts and lense (making VERY sure to protec ... Nikon D70s Digital Camera
