Having problems with your Canon Digital Cameras ?

Reset option and clean sensor option are not visible in set up menu. Canon D20 I had a two spots that kept appearing in the same area of the photo so I looked at the manual and did the clean sensor function a couple of times and the spots remain. I had also done a reset all functions since my stepson gave me the camera and I wanted to restore it to its original settings. Now I don't see either the clean sensor option or the reset in the set up menu. Help!

First of all - great camera! Check out http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos20d/ for a lot more information on the functionality. The sensor clean function only raises the mirror and exposes the sensor so that it can be professionally cleaned so that may not solve the problem of the spots. Furthermore, be extremely careful if you have the lens off when doing this as you can make the problem even worse. I would recommend you take it to a good local camera shop and ask them to clean the sensor for you. In the UK it costs around GBP30.

My Canon 5D mkI turns on ok, will focus, displays top and back, but it will not take a shot. I have two batteries, both which I have charged to full and tried (display shows full charge). I have also tried two seperate CF cards. I have tried cleaning all contacts. Still it won't take a photo. The shutter will work when I use the "clean sensor" function though. Also, I have reset all settings on the camera. Anyone know why the camera isn't firing off a shot?

I was taking photos over the weekend with my Olympus E-500 and the eyepiece viewfinder got darker than usual. I was using a promaster 5750DX flash. Even without the flash, the eyepiece viewfinder has remained dark. Also, I reset all settings to the default settings and now when the built in flash pops up, there are a series of three "beeps" and the camera tries to focus. I cannot get it to take a photo however. I also pushed the button for the sensor cleaning today. Could this have screwed u

I've had my camera for about 3 years now and have never had any problems until a couple of weeks ago. When I turned the camera on, it forced me to reset date/time and would occasionally show aperture 00 and not take a picture. Turning the camera off and then on again, or removing and replacing the battery temporarily took care of the problem. Now I am getting the ERR 01 and can not take pics at all, regardless of which lens I use or whether I am using the IS option. I've tried cleaning the c

Hi--I have a panasonic lumix DMC-FP8, which I bought in May 2010. The camera is great for outdoor landscapes, etc. but I've had problems with low lighting and red eye. The camera has trouble focusing on the subjects, and there are often white spots all over the picture (even though I've cleaned the lens and checked to see if there were scratches or dirt on it). In addition to this, I have the red eye setting on, but I still get really awful red eye in all of my pictures. The camera is still new

My 1230IR Stealth Cam will not take a picture. It will take me through all the proper set up procedures, but when walking in front of the camera it will NOT take the photograph. This was very frustrating because it gave every indication of working, But 3 days in the woods, several pounds of corn being eaten by deer, they left plenty of tracks, and my walking back in forth in front of it, when checking up on it, showed me it was not functioning.
