\015 Camera simply stopped working. lens extended and camera went dead. Battery is fully charged. Any suggestions\015

If ur very sure that the battery is fully charged... first we would advice you to change the batteries and see ...... if that doesnt work... the battery contacts may be corroded or bent and hence not making correct contact with the battery\015\012
\015\012.... sometimes there cud be dust or sand particles in the lens retraction passage... blow out air in those places..... this cud help a great deal.... I was able to fix a similar problem by wiggling the outermost part of the lens.as its trying to go in....
also try Place the camera flat on its back on a table, pointed at the ceiling. Press and hold the shutter button down, and at the same time press the power-on button. The idea is that the camera will try to autofocus while the lens is extending, hopefully seating the lens barrel guide pins in their slots.
if that doest help
Remove the batteries, then remove the memory card. Then install the new batteries, when you turn it on it should come back to life. turn it off, slip in the memory card and turn it on one last time.
if that doesnt help

Insert the cameras Audio/Video (AV) cable, and turn the camera on. Inserting this cable ensures that the camera's LCD screen remains off during the start process. Thus extra battery power is available to the camera's lens motor during startup. This extra power can be useful in overcoming grit or sand particals that may be jamming the lens. If the AV cable doesn't fix the lens error by itself, consider keeping this cable installed while trying the above fixes and 7 as a means to provide extra help to these fixes. But note that I DON'T recommend keeping the cable installed during Fix 6 as you may damage the AV port while tapping the camera. Reinsert the cable only AFTER tapping the camera.

Now we're entering into the realm of potentially damaging your camera in conducting the fix. There is definitely some risk here, so take care when conducting the following two fixes.
Fix #6: Repeatedly tap the padded/rubber usb cover on a hard surface with the intent of dislodging any particles that may be jamming the lens. Other variations include hitting a side of the camera against the palm of your hand. A lot of people have reported success with this method. HOWEVER, there is also some potential for damaging or dislodging internal components with this method, such as unseating ribbon cables, or cracking LCD screens.

Fix #7: Try forcing the lens. More people have reported success with this method than with any of the other methods. HOWEVER, there's obviously some potential for damaging your camera by using this method. Variations include gently pulling, rotating, and/or twisting the lens barrel while hitting the power button. Attempt to gently straighten or align the barrel if it's crooked or twisted. Another variation includes looking for uneven gaps around the lens barrel, and then pushing on the side of the lens barrel that has the largest gap (note pushing the lens barrel all the way in is NOT recommended as it may become stuck there). While doing any of the above, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins may have reseated in their guide slots. If you hear this click, immediately stop and try the camera. The following photo illustrates unseated guide pins that would cause a lens error.

if ur still unable to retract the lens....... ur lens motor assembly is broken and wud need replacement.

Hi there, I used my camera in sea for many times, always was working nice. But some days ago I went to sea and the camera stopped working the flash. Hi - i have a Lumix DMC-LX2 that has just recently stopped operation - (for example) when set to (scene) the screen simply scrolls repeatedly thru the scene choices non-stop. Lens Jam My G6 turned on accidentally in its case and the lens tried to extend but was forced to stop. Now, when I turn the camera on, the lens makes a ratcheting sound and gets halfway before stopping. It beeps and says "LENS" on the top LCD screen, before powering off. I've been quoted £160 just to have it looked at which is half the value of the camera! Does any one know how to open one of these up (safely) and what to do when you get inside to fix the problem?! Many thanks

The camera was working fine until I purchased a pack of kodak rechargeable batteries. After a week or so of using them my camera stop coming on when I would press the power button, it would make this beeping noise and the lens wouldn't extend. After continuously pressing the power button I got it to come on but again the lens did not extend and the screen was frozen. Why am I having this problem and how can I fix it?

Dropped my Olympus FE 3010 and unsurprisingly it's not working.... Everytime I turn the camera on, the lens extends halfway, then stops. The camera beeps at me, the green LED turns orange and the camera becomes unresponsive until I remove the battery (including the Power button). Any ideas on how/if this can be fixed? I took my camera to the beach, took a picture and put it back in my bag. I then took the camera back out to take another picture the lens extended but then it went back in again it went to go back out but stopped and a loud beeping noise started and a message saying lens error restart camera. I don't know how to restart the camera and if that means turning it of then on it still doesn't work. What can I do now?

My Ricoh R4 camera has its lens stuck in the fully extended position. After switch on, it makes motor noises for a while and then stops and switches itself off. My Panasonic DMC-FH1 stopped working after less than a month of use. It has been treated with care, not dropped or thrown about. It powers up, the lens automatically extends, but it cannot focus. After recharging the battery and replacing the battery (rechargrable Li-lon), the camera turned on than would not work. I took out the battery and tried to reinsert but now I cannot put it back in. I have a Kodak EasyShare Z1485 IS, the lens barrel is stuck in the furthest extended position. It was left alone and not operated for several months, though I have replaced the battery. The camera turns on for about 3 seconds at a time, I tried to turn it on several times with the lens barrel inching forward each time. It stopped going forward and has become stuck in what appears to be the furthest-extended position. There does not appear to be any particulates obstructing the lens barrel as far

Lens error Hello. I've had my camera since October now, and of course it's fallen a couple times or been bumped into things, but it's always worked fine afterwards. But tonight, I had it on my tripod, which apparently isn't as sturdy as I thought it was, because it fell straight forward. My lens fell right on the concrete. It is like, visibly crooked now, not much but you can tell, and every time I try to turn it on the lens tries to extend but then it just stops, the screen goes black for a sec
