Having problems with your Canon Digital Cameras ?

I have an EOS Rebel XTi. The Mode dial does not show all zones, ie: It shows Program and Shutter-priority and automatic depth-of-field but does not show Aperture-priority or Manual modes on the setting display when selected on the dial.

Answers :

Rebel does not have 1.0.4this can be a possible non canon firmware or a beta version

flashing your 1.1.1 may help out with this issue.

Rebel v1.1.1

Try to find the reset button that only the pen can pushed, and if not have reset button take the supply or battery out,it's better overnight.

On my d90, under M (manual mode or aperture priority), the aperture on the readout goes beyond the actual aperture range; i.e. f3.5 - 5.6; readings will show aperture range of 5 - 29 when I scroll with the sub command dial; sometimes when i remove the battery it returns to normal; how can i fix this problem permanently?

There is NOT a problem. The f3.5-5.6 indicates the maximum aperture in the zoom range. At 18mm the maximum aperture is f3.5, at 105mm it's f5.6. The minimum aperture ranges from f22 to f38.\012\012\012So, at 18mm, the aperture can range f ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

Why doesn't f2.8 show depth of field?

Yes. But the operative word is "bit." Because of the small sensor size of the P90, you have a short lens. Zoomed all the way out, it's 4.6mm. A 4.6mm lens is going to give you quite a bit of depth-of-field, no matter what aperture you use. Even zoome ... Nikon COOLPIX P90 Digital Camera

Program mode I have a question about the program mode. there are 4 choices according to the manual: 1. Normal, 2-High-peed priority, 3-Depth-of-field priority, 4-MTF priority. I know I am going to feel stupid, but what is MTF priority? I wasn't any good at acronyms in the service either.

MTF = Modular Transfer Function. MTF tests is a chart describing the lens performance (sharpness, contrast etc.) throughout the aperture range. All lenses has a "sweet spot", where the best performance is given. But this can vary, not just from lens ... Pentax *ist D Digital Camera

I tried to take a shot of the Vanderbilt baseball stadium, and it came out a little soft and out of focus. I was in Apperture priority at F8 to maximize the depth of field, exposure compensation -2/3EV, metered in the field, and tried to focus on the two guys sitting there in the midfield. Tried one shot AF, the manually tweaking it in OIS mode 2. On screen it looked fine, but on the computer screen not so much so. What could I have done to make it better? How can I set the focus to infinity?

1)The exposure was actually fairly decent. Whatever you metered on wasn't far off.\015\012\015\0122) There was no reason to force the camera all the way up to F8 as in this picture there was no challenge regarding DOF as everything you were shooting ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

Back focus My D300 looked like it was focusing behind the subject. I set up 8 objects on the lawn, each one 3 feet behind the other. I mounted my camera on a tripod, selected a shallow depth of field, and shot each object. I found that at close range, my camera focused fine. The farther away the object, the more the camera focused behind the object. I returned the camera to Nikon for repair under warrantee. They made some adjustments. The focus has definitely improved, but I don't think it is qu

The mode dial doesn't seem to work. The camera is stuck on the high speed sequential setting. When we select iauto, it takes one picture and then freezes. When we select the camera option on the mode dial, it takes 13-15 pictures in succession and then freezes. The pictures are taken without the button being pressed. We need to power off to change modes. The camera did work for a little while.
