Since I bought my HDR-HC1E in December 2005 I enjoyed really my camera, but since a few years now I have experienced so many times a warning about 'moist condensation' then I have to 'eject tape'. This just doesn't work for a long time. It is very tedious and I only found out by accident a way to overcome this problem is by ejecting the mini DV cassette (but keep the mini DV tape in the cassette holder), switching off the camera, remove the battery. Close the cassette holder and then slide in th

I have a problem with the Panasonic AJ-D200. The tape will not close. The symptom developed after I loaded a head cleaning cassette. I then loaded a normal tape and now it won't close. I then changed this tape drive for a spare drive. Powered up the camera and tried again. I loaded a head cleaning cassette. Then loaded a normal cassette and now this one won't close. The problem seems to be with this head cleaning cassette but I cannot risk using another spare tape deck. I cannot see the

My canon vixia hv30 camcorder is not reading tapes anymore. It rewinds and forwards and reports the tape position but the tape counter does not roll showing only dashes as if the tape is empty. All this started when i put in a cassette in which the tape has somehow become crunched. There was some pushing involved and the camera auto-ejected teh tape a couple of time before i realized that the tape inside was crunched. I then straightened the tape by pulling it partly out and rewinding it manual

When I insert the cassette into the camera, I hear noise like it is setting up, but when I press play or record, whether I'm in the VCR mode or the Camera mode, it whirrs for a moment, then stops. When I open the camera to take the tape out, sometimes the tape is hanging out of the cassette, sometimes it's not. Also the power light blicks twice quickly. Thanks. Bill Freeman

My Canon ZR200 camera will not eject the tape. I never had this problem before. Camera has never been dropped but all of a sudden the message to eject tape showed up but it won't do it. After repeated emails to Canon it is evident that they are not going to give me the info to remove the tape myself. They want me to send it in (for a price to be determined after I send it in) or to trade up at a cost. I don't want to do either, just get the tape out of camera. I don't even care if it never work

The cassette cage holding my tape in my Canon ZR65 camcorder will not release the tape. The door is open and the cage tries to move forward or backward (barely) and then stops---won't open up. Just bought a Sharp VL-ZL at a yard sale. Great price but I'm beginning to see why. First came the 'dew' issue, but I read here what that is and what to try. The next day a new problem occurred, and this one's not only weird, but I can't find anyone online with a similar issue. The cassette door will not stay closed with a tape inserted. Take the tape out and it closes fine. Any thoughts? Thanks.
