Having problems with your Canon Digital Cameras ?

My Canon EOS 5D consistengly overexposes images by approximately 2/3 stops..both in natural light and flash situations. The problem is particularly bad outdoors. Can this be fixed?

Answers :

Actually, I had been using the Canon 28-105 for the past two years (which I purchased as the kit lens with my Canon A2e). I just recently purchased the Canon 24-105L lens to use with my 5D. Both lenses display the overoexposure problem. However, I am experiencing more blown highlights with the 24-105L lens. I am not sure if that is related to this problem or not.
Try updating firmware from canon website latest version 1.1.1 check your camera to see which version firmware you are runing can cure lots of weird problems.

I have had my camera for not even a year and it recently started having this problem. Whenever I take a picture, the object will look fine in the display, but when I take the picture it gets horizontal lines across the picture. It is much worse if there is any natural light coming into the picture. I have tried adjusting the flash, the white balance, but the pictures are still coming out this way. Also, if there is a good amount of natural light, you can't see the object you at all, it looks

I first experienced a problem with my Canon S2Is camera when it was only taking pictures of blank images. I found a "fix" recommendation which seems to have gotten rid of the black image problem. However, now when I take pictures the images seem to have horizonal lines through them if I don't use the flash. Also, if I am taking a picture outside or in a lot of light, the image ends up being extremely light. Have any suggestions?

Think you need to do the fix more. Believe your shutter was previously stuck in the closed position. Now it sounds like it is stuck in the open position. Again keep trying the fix to loosen it up. Just to confirm, the "fix" you're talking about i ... Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera

Sony DSC-W90 digital camera: Flash will not work. Message E:91:01 flashes on the screen, along with the little lightning bolt that usually means the flash function is enabled. Also, tiny yellow light flashes to the right of the view finder, in back. I tried re-initializing the camera, as the handbook suggested, but this does not fix the problem.

Hi, can I first ask do you charge a fee for your help. If not, can you help with the following problem? I've recharged the battery for my Canon 40D and placed it back in the camera. The red light flickers and then no power at all. I've done this a couple of times thinking it may be the battery but the last time I tried it then flashed red and a blue light at the same time. This blue light is the printer light next to the Menu button. I don't know how to fix this? Can you help? Thanks.

Try replacing the battery. If the battery has gone bad, charging it will do no good. If it is a new battery, you may have faulty battery terminals in your camera, the memory card switch may be bad, or some other internal failure may have occurred. ... Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera

My camera (Sony DSC-T100) is about 3 years old. It has worked perfectly in that time but recently, outdoor photos show a lot pink where it does not belong (sky, side walks, etc.). Indoor pictures still look great, with or without flash. Sounded similar to some of the bad CCD discussions I have seen, but my camera seems to have been built after that problem was supposedly fixed by Sony. I tried calling the number (866-703-7669) I have seen in several postings, but it does not seems to work.

I bought a used canon xs from craigslist. I think a hard lesson learned already. Anyway the camera appears to be in great condition. The problem is whenever I take a picture it does not come out right. The colors are way off. Some colors look fine, blue will come out beige, gray or green.
