Having problems with your Canon Digital Cameras ?

Just purchased a canon A590. on page 84 of user guide, continuous shooting is described. I'm somewhat familiar with SD cards, but Canon implies that I have to use their MSH type SD card to use the continuous shooting feature. When I look at the drive modes in my camera, I only see 4 possible modes....single pic, 10 sec delay, 2 second delay, and delay continuous. There is an icon for continuous shooting in the book, but it does not appear on my camera. Why?

Answers :

I don't own an A590 but I've been handling cameras since the Kodak Instamatic days, so I'll try to help you. I checked out the Canon website for the A590. and they don't specifically state the MSH type SD card. The camera can do 1.4 fps or frames per second of continous shooting. But it also identifies a 20 and 30fps which refers to the movie mode. If the manual states a MSH type Sd card, it usually means that the card may be of a faster recording speed to take continous shots. But I think what you might mean continous shots could be the 3 or 5 second burst on the Digital SLR cameras. These modes are usually for sports and very good for Formular 1 racing pictures. The specs of your camera does not have a sports mode or any continous burst. So you will be stuck in the 1.4fps levels. Let me know if this helps.

Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

I purchased DMC-FZ28 k August 2008. I am not a photographer and used iAuto function and other preset modes. The pics come out "flat" "dull" and lack vibrance and color depth. This is made more obvious when pics are compared to other pics I have taken (older Canon powershot camera) and pics taken by others using their less expensive cameras. This has been this way since new and applies to all sorts of pics - inside, outside, light, flash, etc. I have tried various settings, experiment

Error 99 I took pics yesterday-no problems.Today during a shoot I got the error 99 after shooting several pics. At home I removed, even switched to a different battery and the problem continues. It will shoot a few frames and error out and it doesn't seem to matter which setting is used.

'Error\015\012 99' indicates some problem with the AF contacts. This is a common error\015\012 in Canon lenses. It could indicate a very simple problem like dirty \015\012contacts or a much serious one like the breakage of USM cable. As a ... Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera with 17-85mm lens

Focus failure Hi. I hope you can help. I've a canon 40D and am using it remotely with the EOS utility v 2.3. I am only able to take an image when the live view mode is active. When inactive and I use either the shoot button or the timer, an error flashes up "focus failure". The camera focuses fine in live mode. Have dragged my way through the instruction manual and cannot find a troubleshooting section covering this problem. Hope you can help. Thanks Joe

I have a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XT and the built-in flash no longer pops up when needed. This started happening after using a Canon speedlite, but then removing it. I've tried resetting everything, and tried all modes expecting that the ones listed in the manual as using a flash would work, but they dont, it never pops up. I lifted up the flash with my fingernail manually, and then tried taking a picture where a flash was most definitely needed, but it still had a long delay, no flash, and
