I'm not getting crisp, in-focus photos from my EV500 (they appear somewhat fuzzy). In a studio environment with 5500K softbox lighting, using a tripod and AF on a portrait subject, with ISO 125 in Manual and Portrait exposure. I also shot the same subject with a Cannon G10 and same settings. My Cannon photos were tack sharp, but my Olympus photos were not. Also, the Cannon colors were more realistic than the Olympus. The colors on the Canon appeared as they should using the daylight (5500K

My Nikon D5000 gives out blurry pictures and the auto focus sometimes does not work. I've sent the lens to be examined & repaired and today I tested it again after being repaired. Today I took a picture of a person standing in front of a wooden fence and instead of focusing on the person (which was my intention), the camera focused on the fence. The result: The fence is sharp but the person is blurry. What causes this? Is it the lens or the body? How can I solve these problems?

Poor focus I am using the Nikon d80 with a Sigma 24-70 mm lens. I am not satisfied with the crispness of the photos. I have tried shutter speeds of 1/500 and higher, using a tripod, and using shutter delay to get better clarity and sharp focus, but none has worked. The quality is not as good as my 2 meg Sony! Is this to be expected from the 10 meg cameras? thanks! [email protected]

The focal length on my Nikon S52 Coolpix seems to be much shorter than it was originally. No matter the adjustment I make to the settings, at least part of the photo is extremely blurry. I have tried both with Auto-Focus on and off, but there is always a small square in the center of the view finder, and this is only region that shows a focused image. The camera used to produce sharp images throughout the picture. How can I adjust this?

Hi. Very unhappy with quality of Ixus 80is photos. They are not at all sharp, milky, with no depth, in various light conditions. I did comparison identical rural scenic photos with the canon and 2 different 5 megapixel phone cameras. In most cases, the Nokia N95 camera results are far superior to the canon. I have read nothing but good reviews about the quality of pics from this camera so I'm wondering why mine are so bad. Any ideas?

Hello. I bought my Powershot SX1 IS in April 2010, and have never felt I could get good photos with it. The 'noise' seems bad, when I playback and zoom in just one notch, definately worse, the more I zoom. The color is often poor, and the focus on close-ups is not sharp. Would you say this is the best this camera can do, or would you say there is something wrong with this particular one. (I always have it set at highest resolution , often 100 ISO, try the set of three exposures to get diffe

I have a Nikon D40 which is coming upto being two years old. Recently I have noticed that the auto-focus will not work. If I manually focus I can still take photos but when auto is engaged it will not even try to focus and therefore will not allow me to take a photo. Camera takes photos without actually "focusing" on the object. Seems their is no "prefocus" with the button. As soon as you touch the focus button, the camera automatically takes the photo. LCD White-out I have had this Fuji FinePix A350 since Christmas 2006. This August while on vacation and taking quite a few pictures with a new 1GB XD card, the LCD screen would come on with a blank white screen as the camera was turned on. My Canon SX210 IS is brand new. Just bought it on yesterday. The problem I'm having is that the LCD screen does not look sharp and clear when focusing on a subject. It looks grainy. Can you tell me if I need to adjust the settings on the camera? I was indoors in low lighting, but I've never seen the LCD look this way on a camera. The LCD is always clear and sharp when focusing.
