Having problems with your Canon EOS-1D Mark II Digital Camera ?

Hi, I've got Canon 1D mark II n with shutter problem. There is an overexposed streak that runs 3/4 across the image about an inch wide

Answers :

Your camera almost certainly has a shutter fault and must be professionally repaired.

Replacement and recalibration is a not a DIY job. Expect to need a new shutter assembly; it's not cheap but is still cheaper than another SLR.

If you're very lucky, the repairer may find a simple fault with the existing mechanism and offer to fix it but if you depend upon your camera for a living then be absolutely sure that it's as reliable a repair as replacing the shutter assembly. If the fault has existed for more than a couple of dozen of shots then there will already be adverse wear to other elements of the shutter assembly which may either cause it to fail again soon or will require it to be recalibrated.

Hi, I got a new ProSpec 4gb flash card and used it last night in my canon 40d. I forgot to format before I initially used it. Shot lots of great images that I could see on the camera back, but now I am getting the messages - can not create a folder, tried to shoot another image and is says cf card is full, and now I can't review on camera, it says there are no images. Tried Digital Photo recovery software and got nothing. Anything at all I can do? I'm tempted to format now and then see if I can

I do not have a solution, but I do have same problem, or a variation of it: filled my ProSpec 2GB, removed it from my Canon G10 to insert a fresh card, then later reinserted the ProSpec to transfer photos to computer. Several tries, and no go. First ... Canon Digital Cameras

My Canon PowerShot S400 shows a blurred image on my screen, one that looks like streaks of light. As I pan the camera the streaks move, too. Sometimes, but not consistently, when I take a photo there are streaks on the resultant image, often greenish blue. Here's something else: When I turn the camera on, the lens opens with a series of small clicks, such as might happen if the lenses have been damaged in some way.

It is definitely a CCD issue. First of all how long have you owned the camera? I am guessing it is out of warranty so in most cases it is the best option to purchase a replacement as you will be able to get one twice as good for about as much as the ... Digital Cameras

Recently, my Canon Powershot A95 has had an intermittent LCD display problem. While beginning to frame and focus a shot, the image streaks from edge to edge of the screen. If the shutter is snapped, that is the image recorded. The image looks like the subject is rapidly moving, or as though it is a time-lapse photo. Could this be a CCD (chip)issue?

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. ... Canon PowerShot A95 Digital Camera
