Nikon D80 with a Sigma Lens (80 to 200 I think). In manual mode, often shutter won't release - this was a close up of a hummingbird with a fast shutter speed. Internal light meter showed underexposed, but the background was dark green. Mpvr troubleshoot I have had the mpvr for two months and it has worked fine but i noticed after the last time i charged the battery and turned it on, it brought up the title screen and would go to a black screen as if a lens cap would be on or something. anyways after about ten seconds it will automatically turn off. another thing i noticed is it won't turn on auto when you flip the screen open but that you have to manually push the button open.

Shutter problem When i use the manual mode on my D50, the shutter speed won't go above 30 without the camera going to 'Bulb' - the open shutter mode, no mattter what i try. Can't figure out if the settings are responsible and there really is'nt anything in th manual. Hope it isn't broke.

I was taking pictures into bright sunlight switching between manual and automatic settings, and manual and automatic focus. First, the picutre would take, but the shutter would not open (viewfinder would remain closed) switching from manual to automatic focus fixed this issue. My SD800IS was working fine while in the very hot/humid environment of Yap. I took it out of my air conditioned room and went to take a picture almost immediately.
