Having problems with your Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi Digital Camera ?

Photos are coming out with a blue tinge. Out on the harbour where the water is a greeny blue and the sky grey to blue, all photos seem to have a blue tinge. ISO is 100. Photographed some trees and these also have a blue tinge.

Answers :

Check the white balance settings. If the photos where taken in the high midday sun this is the high UV content in the air. Set you white balance to Cloudy and see what that does. Also fit a UV lens to the front of the lens if haven't already.

Colour On recent photographs there's a distinct green tinge, particularly noticeable on outdoor shots. I can correct this in an editor, usually by reducing the green a little and increasing the blue level. The green tinge seems to be consistent, not just occasional photos. I can't find any obvious way of dealing with this in the camera manual, unless the white balance can be used to remedy it. I notice there's a footnote: 'The colour tones may vary somewhat depending on the shooting condition

Blurred edges My Canon Rebel XTi took awesome photos when I first bought it. I let a family member use it and I think the settings must have been changed or something, because now all my photos are blurred on the edges, esp. on the left side of the photo. I always use AF and the blurring occurs no matter what ISO I use. Also, my action shots used to be crisp and clear with no blurring whatsoever. Now they are blurred, doesn't matter if it's night or daylight and no matter what ISO. Is there

I'm not getting crisp, in-focus photos from my EV500 (they appear somewhat fuzzy). In a studio environment with 5500K softbox lighting, using a tripod and AF on a portrait subject, with ISO 125 in Manual and Portrait exposure. I also shot the same subject with a Cannon G10 and same settings. My Cannon photos were tack sharp, but my Olympus photos were not. Also, the Cannon colors were more realistic than the Olympus. The colors on the Canon appeared as they should using the daylight (5500K

Grainy Pictures I received this camera as a Christmas gift, this past Christmas, and I have not been able to get a decent photo from it yet. The indoor photos are very grainy with a bubble sometimes in the photo. Outdoor photos are too light and also grainy, especially when the zoom is used. I have tried adjusting the image quality and the ISO setting but neither of these adjustments have improved the quality of the pictures. The printed pictures look worse than the images on the LCD screen. I c

Error-C1 I was on holiday in dusty hot conditions when my second hand camara became unusable. I turned the camara on to take a photo and the zoom lens and shutter became stuck. The screen went blue and 'error-C1' appeared on the screen. Every time I turned it on thereafter the same blue screen came up and it makes a strange mechanical noise when I turn it on. It also turns itself off after a few seconds but the zoom still doesn't shut. The battery symbol still appeared but it appeared to be out

Blue photos Can anyone tell me some reasons why some outdoor shots I took of snow/trees, etc. might look blueish? I took some pictures at sundown that came out fine, and ones I took about 10 minutes later look blue. I don't recall changing any settings. I also took similar shots at the same time with another digital camera and those looked fine. Is this something that's common in low light with a lot of white background? (Or is this a "user problem?")

Snow pictures tend to be blue due to the blue spectrum being scattered and reflected from the snow (similar to why the sky is blue). Plus just after sunset, you're going to get a cooler color temperature (blue cast).\015\012\015\012However, instead o ... Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 Digital Camera

I was taking pictures outside using a tripod mounting and had my Fujifilm FinePix S5000 on in photography mode - Auto mode. Upon placing the tripod for a new photo, I observed that the LCD monitor had turned white with intermittent horizontal flashing black lines. The view through the viewfinder is also white but without the black lines. When a photograph is taken the image is white. I should point out that in Playback mode I can view previously taken photographs perfectly on both the moni

Grainy Pictures Lately I have been looking at my images photographed at 1200X800 and seen they look quite grainy. I have no idea why they have all this grain, I have the sharpness at normal level and the quality set as FINE. The ISO is in auto mode also. My Cannon Powershot A95 failed while I was overseas. The image in the viewfinder looked ok but the resulting photos tend heavily toward blues and magentas but worst of all they are vertically 'smeared'. The effect is similar to what you would get if you wet a fresh watercolour picture and held it up. Everything kind of runs down the page. This is a great loss to me as I use it for photographing models owing to the tilting viewfinder feature. The modern cameras are very hard to use close to th

I've got an A-75 digital (Canon) When pushing down on the shutter button, the orange light is on next to the viewing window. It will not take a photograph and the flash does not work.
