Having problems with your Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera ?

Internal Temperature too high to shoot.

\015 Sometimes when I use my 40D I can shoot successfully. \302\240Other times, when I shoot it comes up with a message saying\302\240\015\012\015\012'Camera Internal temperature is becoming too high, can't shoot'.\015\012\015\012I thought this may be due to a faulty lens I had on it - but yesterday I purchased a cannon lens and it didn't seem to make a difference.\015\012\015\012I currently live in Australia and bought the camera on a holiday to Denmark - so I was wondering if anybody had a solution so that I don't have to send it all the way back?\015\012\015\012Thankyou.\015

Answers :

This is obviously a problem with the internal parts of the camera. There are too many things it could be to give a definitive answer, and it would be too complicated for an amateur. If you take it into a local camera shop they should be able to run diagnostics on it and replace the problem.
Best of luck to you.

Overheat I have owned the Digital Rebel XT (Black Body) for three months now and have found what may be a serious problem for anyone wanting to use this camera out-of-doors in direct sunlight. The temperature specification on the camera reads 32 to 104F. This is NOT ambient temp. This appears to be internal temp of the camera. Using the camera in ambient temperatures above 90F with the camera in direct sunlight causes the case (and internal temp) to rise to a staggering 120F in only 25 minutes.

I have the same Canon Digital Rebel XT black body with 28-55 lens camera and just spent a week in Bryce, Zions and Grand Canyons at over 95 degrees in direct sunlight, taking a little over a thousand pictures and never had a problem, I wonder if it i ... Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera

Fairly brand new (less than 6 months old) Canon rebel xti - shooting in manual mode, then it gives a low battery message. I switch the battery and nothing. I recharge the first battery and install it, again - nothing. I removed the internal battery and left both batteries out for 30 minutes. Nada. I have barely even used this camera and I am furious. Is there anyone who knows what the problem is? If I seriously have to send it back under warranty already after shooting less than 1000 photos, I a

Exposure problem Hi,i'm using EOS 1dMK2 for 5 months now & i've noticed the same problem i've had using D60,1D wich is when i set the camera to top ISO speed & high speed continous shooting almost every second shot is underexposed for 1 stop, stangely this only happens indoor under tungsten or flourescent light.I've also tried to:set custom white ballance, shoot raw ,change lenses, set manual exposure & aperture. Has anyone else noticed this ? P.S. Parameters for both pictures are 1/250sec, f4 ,

If you set your meter based on the white (or substantially white) wall, as per the attachment, I would expect the image to be underexposed. ... Canon EOS-1D Mark II Digital Camera

Using my Canon XSi/450D, I'm interested in doing High Dynamic Range photography. But I can't discover how to make the automated shutter-speed range multi-shot (3 for the 450D) AEB work. I've gone into the menu and select and change the AEB range ( -2V) and pressed "set." Working from the "AV" in creative mode, I then set up my first shot with focus and ISO, and shoot. Now what? When I press the shoot button, an ordinary photo is captured, and if I continue to press the button additional cap

Color Saturation I just upgraded to the Digital Rebel XT, and I noticed that my images (i usually shoot at ISO 100 w/a polarizer) are a little bland in the color saturation department. I have the camera set to Adobe RGB and am using photoshop to process the images (I usually shoot the high-quality JPGs), but I'm frustrated that the only way to get the color to match what I'm truly seeing in front of me is to pump up the saturation levels in Photoshop. I'd like the camera to capture that in the f
