How can i make long videos in one click?? i use a 500D, my camera stops recording video after 10 or 16 seconds and creates clips.. how can i extend the recording time.. i have an 8gb card.

When i try to format the SDHC 8GB memory card the recording screen display's (Waiting....) for about 1 to 2 second's, then goe's to the normal recording screen and when i push the record button it display's memory full, but the card is new and doesn't have anything saved on it.
