Picstures show up on camera, but not on computer
\015 So my Olympus Stylus 720 SW has a 2 GB XD card. I took several hundred pics and all show up on the camera when i go to view them. However, when I plug the XD card into my card reader 2/3 of the pics are showing up as corrupted. \302\240No preview is available. I tried this from both a MAC and a Windows XP computer. \302\240So it's not my comp. I used Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery ($40 fyi) and it took 25 hours to examine all 4 million or so sectors after which I saved the recovered media to my comp. \302\240Still it only pulled the media from my card that I could already get,(Plus it took any videos I had on there and broke each one into about 1400 frames) \302\240Does any one know how I can recover ALL my photos on the card??? \302\240I'm very very desperate for these photos.\015
It could be the card reader going bad. Anyways, here's some freeware to use with your card reader. Of the software listed, I recommend PC Inspector SmartRecovery. Use it "intensive mode" (go to File/Settings). If SmartRecovery doesn't do it, I'm afraid nothing will.\015\012

I have even tried downloading the drivers and 'Nikon transfer' package from the disk that came with the box. I am using windows xp. Why does my computer not read the camera? I took my memory card out of the camera, put it in my computer, and proceeded to download. It showed 200+ pictures, then there was nothing but 31. I can not find where these pictures went. I was never in a position to even delete these. They just disappeared. A friend of mine told me that her sister did the same thing, and the camera didn't show them, and somehow, through the support for that camera brand, was able to retrive them. Is there any way to try this on a Kodak camera?
