A85 Dead During a normal session, switching from picture-taking mode to view mode, the lens would not retract and the picture in the view froze with the current image. I could not turn off the camera. After a while, the batteries got very hot, so I removed them. I took out the CF card. Later, I replaced the batteries and the put the card back in. The camera worked very briefly, but the LCD view would not work, displaying flashing lines on a black background. New batteries didn't help. The camera

Hi, I've just recieved my nikon d90 back from a repair and service, and although everything appears to be working fine, whenever I want to change shooting modes,( auto, P, M, flash off etc), they only work once I have selected them, and then turned the camera off and back on. In other words I cannot be shooting in the Auto mode and then switch to "flash off auto"....all that happens is that the auto focus works but the shutter will not operate. If I switch the camera off and on however, I can t

I changed the batteries in my Power Shot A720 IS recently when the low battery warning flashed, and had taken only two photos when the warning flashed again. I moved the mode switch to playback and the screen went dark "Change batteries now" appeared. I turned off the camera, set the mode switch to shooting, turned the camera back on and was able to take two more photos before the low battery warning returned and prevented any more picture taking. I purchased and installed new batteries and f

I have a Vivitar Camera that I bought from a Pawn Shop. The Flash worked fine for the first few months having it. I didn't use it for a while, and once I finally did, I heard 3 pops. After that my flash no longer works. When I switch into Flash mode it blinks and goes back to No Flash mode. Do you think it's the flash tube, the circuit or the battery that charges the flash? I opened the camera and nothing looks blown.

I have a Sanyo VPC C6EX 6megapixel camcorder which, when switched on, immediately takes a photo in 'camera' mode without any prompting. After that, it will not take a photograph in normal operation. Switch the camera off, and then back on again, and it still takes a picture automatically without warning....! Indeed, the camera seems to be 'confused'?...even in ME

I have a Nikon D90 with 18-105 mm lens. Lately, the onboard flash has not been firing even when I try to enforce it by having the flash popped up. It will only fire if I do one of the following: 1) unmount the lens from the camera body and then re-mount it back on, which the flash will fire maybe once or twice and that's it!, or 2) switch on a different lens which definitely works with the flash firing every single time. What needs to be done? I purchased this lens last December (2009). Is

Intermittent problem The camera works fine for awhile then the 4-way selector suddenly will not change the menu. Or it gets stuck on full flash or no flash. The selections may get mixed up. I do have the Conversion Lens: OFF in the menu option. In the screen though my camera still shows W========T there is no other. Any suggestions?
