I was at a basketball game last night and taking pictures with the d80 and the 55-200 lens. All of the pictures I took in auto focus were blurry. I changed it to the S mode with shutter speed at 4000 and those pictures came out completely dark with nothing in the picture. I changed the setting to the sports mode and the shutter speed is not fast enough because I have the same issue with blurring or out of focus.

Hi and welcome to FixYa.\015\012\015\012I could go into a long disertation about your camera settings and what you should use, but I should let Ken explain it. I read this a couple of months ago (because I love photography too)! He has so ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens

Shutter speed I have had my camera for 6 months. Today I used it for soccer pics and put it on sport mode and every pic I took is blurry. We looked on the information of the pics and the shutter speed is really low. My husband started to look and try to manually adjust some things and the speed will not change. States LOW. I also looked at the soccer portraits I took right before the action shots same day...and some of those are a little blurry as well. What could be wrong? Please help!

Blurry Pictures I would like to know how can I get the perfect picture because when I throw the picture it looks fine sometimes then when I enter them into my computer & zoom in, it looks blurry like a fake picture I mean this camera cost me $350 and it doesn't seem to be worth it. I would like to know what settings I have to use for normal daily pictures at my house. Blurry pictures Using a point and shoot digital camera, it was set on night mode by mistake. Pictures turned out blurry. The snapshots were taken inside at night using flash in the camera. Probably because in night mode, camera was setting depth of field wrong. So using flash and set in night mode was the problem. But can anything be done to correct the blurry pictures taken in this situation?? Any software known to correct this problem? Thank's, Angela Sapp

When the camera is on sport mode all pictures are blurry

This rather odd as the "Sport" mode should cause the camera to use faster shutterspeeds in order to stop your subject from blurring.\015\012\015\012I can think of two issues here: First, in order to get faster shutterspeeds the camera us ... Nikon D60 Digital Camera

I am trying to take action pictures on my kids in sports, everything is blurry. The continuous shooting mode is slow. Do I just need a better camera or is there a setting fix for this?

Hi,\015\012If you find the continuous shooting mode and the sports mode just isn't cutting it I'd suggest a batter camera. Depending on your price range and size my suggestion would be a Canon S95 or moving up to a DSLR. If your need more help with c ... Canon PowerShot SX130 IS Digital Camera

I am using the DX7590 in sport mode inside a gym for a volleyball game and the pics all blurry. How can I correct this. Trying to use the flash, makes the pictures very dark.

The flash is useless unless you're down on the floor. You need to set the ISO to a higher number. This will make the shutter speed faster and stop the action. You'll need to experiment to find the correct number. ... Kodak EasyShare DX7590 Digital Camera

Canon rebel xsi, using 75-300 lens, taking photos of basketball game, pictures are blurry, especially the ones in "action" using the sports mode. also tried my 18-55 IS lens, same thing happening, using auto focus and stabilizer

That's a big lens and for sports photography you are going to need a lot of light to ensure you can use a fast shutter speed to capture the action. Sports mode may do too much for you and you might want to try switching to a more manual mode. Try s ... Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera

All indoor pictures look grainy or blurry. There are a lot of noise in my photos, and it really seems to have difficulty capturing moving people as the intelligent auto often chooses the night portrait scene for indoor people shots. In the manual it recommends using a tripod and having the subject stand still. I am trying to photograph active toddlers (18 months and 3 years old). I have found switching to sports helps sometimes. Blurry Images Hi, I have a coolpix 5700 and sometimes when I take pictures with it and later go look at them on the camera's display they start out blurry and then "snap" into focus. However, when I later load them on my computer, they remain blurry. I can't find anything in the manual describing this phenomenan but it really annoys me because the pictures look so good on the camera, but I can't get that quality on my print outs or monitor display. Does anyone know anything about this? I'd like

The camera display is a two-stage progressive display. The image is roughed out, then the interleaving lines are filled in. This has no effect on the image itself, just the monitor display.\015\012\015\012Apart from the media, digital photography is ... Nikon Coolpix 5700 Digital Camera

All of a sudden every picture I take with the 55-200 zoom lens is blurry and slightly out of focus. Pictures with the 18-55 lens are still sharp. I have been using that 55-200 lens for years for sports shots, and have never had any problem. I get the same blurriness shooting in both the auto sports setting and in shutter priority. It is a brand new issue. Could it be the AF servos starting to go in the lens, or am I doing something stupid?

Simplest answer is that you may have accidentally flipped the focus switch (A/M) on the lens to M. This turns off autofocus for that lens (which you might need to do if autofocus just can't resolve the image). Try turning it back to A.Ano ... Nikon D40x Digital Camera

Canon powershot A520 doesn't work in camera mode. I can look at and edit pictures in viewing mode, but switching to "camera" won't let me take pictures... in this mode it also lets me view pictures already on card, so something isn't making the switch over.

Hi!\015\012Do other buttons work? If so, the switch could be broken because it sounds it doesn't switch to the CAMERA mode, just stays at the VIEW mode.\015\012If you're not experienced in repairs, you should give it to a local repair sho ... Canon PowerShot A520 Digital Camera

My Fuji s2000 always shoots picture that are blured. I have tried many settings and different exposures however I keep getting the same result. What can I do ? The worst mode on this camera is the auto mode, I can never get a clear indoor picture. This camera takes beautiful pictures of flowers/nature and all outdoor photo's turn out beautiful it is the indoor photo's I have even tried the sports mode for when people move but I still get a very blured image

Found the same thing and I think the answer is the opposite of previous suggestions. The s2000 is truly awful at anything above about 400ASA The degree of pixel binning it uses just makes the pictures look terrible. Force the camera to use 400 or s ... Fuji FinePix S2000hd Digital Camera

Blurry LCD Well, I have recently got a SD400 camera from dell.com. The first thing I noticed was the inaccurate LCD. The picture in the LCD seemed blurry(bad resolutoin, weird coloring) and inaccurate. But, after actually taking the pictures, the picture seemed perfect. (In the review mode and the display right after you take a picture.) Is this a problem? This is my first digital camera, thus I had no previous experience with camera LCD. Blurry pictures I have had this camera for a couple years and have taken thousands of pictures with it. I have been very happy until recently most of the pictures are blurry and look like the camera is not focusing properly. I am wondering if it is possible (if not common) for grit to get in the lens mechanism restricting the lens from moving to the fully extended position. Blurry picture Video works fine, however when I take a still picture, it appears as purple and blurry...almost looks as if the screen is runny. Sometimes when I take a picture it seems as if there is a film covering 3/4 of the shot.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. ... Canon PowerShot A85 Digital Camera
