Having problems with your Canon IXUS 80 IS Digital Camera ?

Camera was over $200 + is it worth repairing

\015 Have a 1 year old Canon Ixus 80 which was in new condition until we accidently drove over it whilst still in it case - only visible damage appears to be the front escutcheon mainplate which has a dip in it at one end - although I'm sure there is a cracked circuit or even lens squash (not evident) or some other cause for its failure to now switch on. LCD screen appears intact, card is intact, battery is intact.\015

I have an Olympus E-510 which is just two years old. The camera went completely dead on me with no notice. I brought it to a camera repair store to see if they could find out what the problem was. We tested the battery and it was fine. I then brought it to a camera repair specialist who told me that it was the circuit board. He wouldn't repair it because he said it wouldn't be worth it. Is it worthwhile sending in to Olympus to get a quote only to have them say the same thing or should I j

I have a kodak Easyshare C813 digital camera. My son did something to it so there was a lens error and it was loose, you could still take pictures though. My daughter took it and went to take pics and now its even worse than before, lens error 127, 0, 0, -12 on the LCD then camera shuts off. What is the usual cost of repair for this? I have a Canon Powershot S30 with a bad LCD. Otherwise working. I also have one with a working LCD, but the lens will not extend. I'd like to make one out of two. Is there a manual with exploded views available so I can do it myself or is that unrealistic. I have several cameras, so I suspect that a professional repair would cost more than the camera is worth. Like most electronic relics, it seems to be cheaper to replace than repair.

My 450d canon won't turn on and when the battery is in, the WB button (second on the right side of the screen) is blue. I have a feeling this means' get it repaired' as I had a friend borrow it and said they spilt a drink near it but not on it, but this seems like they may have spilt the drink ON my camera and have caused some sort of water damage. I'm really quite worried as I'm often told repairs cost more than the camera is worth and I don't want to have to buy another!

Olympus stylus zoom 140. Camera was great for about 2 years, pictures were great. My last two rolls of film developed with large, orange light streaks running vertically just to the right of center. Additionally, there were several "blobs" of orange light left of center. This occurred on 90% of the pictures, the remaining 10% were fine. Is this a light leak in the camera body? Is it worth trying to get Olympus to repair? Of course, the camera is now out of warrenty. Thanks for your time

My SD850is was dropped, there is a slight split on the bottom (looks like 2 screws are missing). When you turn the camera on, it says "lens error - restart camera" and then shuts off. It does show the opening picture on the LCD but then turns dark and shuts off. I've had the camera for about 2 yrs. Anything I can fix or is it worth the price of repair which would cost approx. how much?
