Circular Spots There are circular spots on some of my images. What causes this?

Answers :

When shooting with flash in a location where there are many suspended particles, such as in a dusty area or on a snowy day, the image may contain white circles as shown in the picture below.\015\012Why does this happen?\015\012\015\012If the flash fires when a suspended particle floats right in front of the lens, the reflection of the flash from the particle appears more intensely than that of the subject, as the particle is much closer to the lens than the subject.\015\012\015\012Therefore, the reflection of the flash turns out in the image and causes an effect such as that shown in the sample image above.\015\012\015\012The closer the lens and strobe are located, allowing suspended particles to be exposed to more light, the more frequently this effect can occur.\015\012\015\012How can I avoid this effect?\015\012\015\012Ideally, it is best to shoot in locations where there are very few suspended particles. If not, you can use following method to prevent this effect.\015\012\015\012a) Avoid using flash by lighting the area as much as possible.\015\012\015\012b) If your camera has a zoom function, shoot at a wide angle.\015\012\015\012c) If you can attach an external flash, use the external flash to distance the flash from the lens.

The spots are always in the same places on my images. This is my favorite camera of all time and I very distressed over this issue. I suspect dust has collected somewhere inside the lens where I can not get at it. I have gently cleaned the outside surface of the lens and have blown it off with compressed air but the problem persists, What c

Hi, the flash card card-eject lever spring is broken and wont eject the card. u have to manually push the card in place and pull the card out. the lever stays up until u shut the card slot door.once the card is in place the camera can read the card if images already exist. but...it will not record an image and shows up as blank on the screen after the shutter takes the image? is this the cause of the broken eject lever. thanks.

I have the same problemI think that the reason that the not record the image is that the card slot door is pushing down on the card eject lever and ejecting the card when the door is closedThe only answer I can think of is to shorten the leverdavidh ... I've recently wet-cleaned my Sony A100 sensor and in the process, I attempted to clean the viewfinder pieces. The reason being that the image in the viewfinder was littered with spots, but the image was turning out perfect, so I assumed the viewfinder was dusty. I unlatched the individual pieces and cleaned them. After cleaning them, I put them back in and when I took the picture, the viewfinder was blurred, but the image taken was sharp. I have a FinePix 1400 zoom that has been causing a lot of problems. It has errors often when trying to write an image to the card and sometimes seems to suddenly power off when viewing images. It doesn't appear to be batteries because I've tried fresh ones straight out of the package. I don't think it's the Smart Media card because it does the same thing with 3 different cards of different sizes. Any ideas?

When shooting indoors with my 300d (base rebel digital),I have been encountering some light metering problems.I use the 430ex as an external flash. While shooting a subject in front of an external light source-(window, etc.), no matter how small of the frame area include the outside light source, the cameras light meter will invaribly expose the entire image based on the outside ambient light, causing the image to be grossly underexposed. Do you have an explanation/solution for this aggrivating

Set the metering mode to Partial Metering. This uses only 9% of the field of view, centered around the middle square in the viewfinder, as the subject area. If you still find it too bright, try changing the exposure compensation a couple of clicks. ... Canon Digital Cameras

Grainy, image I bought my Riccoh Caplio GX 5.1 mp three years ago. At first it took the best pictures I could wish for, but for monyhs now I am getting very variable results. Some photos are OK, but many are grainy, "pixleated" - having tiny spots of the primary colours throughout the image. There doesn't seem to be any one situation when this happens. It can be inside, outside, flash or none. The pictures also seem to be a lot darker, so photos taken inside or at night are much poorer quality,
