PICTURE QUALITY Why is it that when I used the camera outside or in a n open space the picture that is produce is to bright? it is alright on video- I cant get the correct color on photos taken outside - indoor pictures are fine?

Answers :

you had asked for the reasons for the difference between indoor and outdoor photos. Here is the simple solution. you have to change the light settings to your preference in your camera according to the environment.
for an instance if you are standing in an open air space then please follow the sequence of options

  1. press menu while the camera is on and when you are reading to take a photograph.
  2. \015\012
  3. scroll down for the options stating "Light settings". (it could be found with the pictorial representation of light glowing)
  4. \015\012
  5. press "ok" and enter to find the several options for the environment you have including "fluorescent light", "incandescent light" etc.
  6. \015\012
  7. choose the option and you will be able to have a clear picture according to the surroundings.
also please note that you can change the light settings to automatic during which the picture's light effect will be optimal for all conditions.
thanks, have a nice day. hope your question is answered and solved.

When i turn my camera on, it seems fine, all buttons functional. When i take a photo, it flashes, but no photo will pop up in my screen. Instead the screen stays black, and then the battery starts to get really warm. then i cant turn it on or off, the only way to get the batter to stop heating up, is to take it out of the camera. i can put the battery back in, turn it on again, but it will say no pictures had been taken, and the problem continues every time i try and use it. There is no history

Grainy, image I bought my Riccoh Caplio GX 5.1 mp three years ago. At first it took the best pictures I could wish for, but for monyhs now I am getting very variable results. Some photos are OK, but many are grainy, "pixleated" - having tiny spots of the primary colours throughout the image. There doesn't seem to be any one situation when this happens. It can be inside, outside, flash or none. The pictures also seem to be a lot darker, so photos taken inside or at night are much poorer quality,

Some pictures are okay, however, most are "redone". The result is that some of the picture is okay, but some is realigned. They are always straight lined corrections.
